UNAFF OPEN SJ | SATURDAY 12 TH SEP

Classes from 55cm - 1.10m

Our regular monthly unaffiliated open showjumping at Yorkshire EC.

All rounds jumped on our all weather competition surface, with a indoor warm up arena and plenty of horsebox parking.

Friendly, welcoming and professionally run (and rarely late!), with well built courses to be both testing and building confidence.

Our next Stressless Showjumping is THIS Sunday
6th September 🐴

If normal competition days feel a bit much, or you simply want somewhere to get some useful rounds in, these days are meant to be a bit more forgiving.

Still a proper course.
Still run properly.
Just without everyone feeling like they need to a bit harder be perfecto!

☀️🍁September at Yorkshire EC 🐴

Plenty going on this month, from Stressless Showjumping and UA SJ to Teeny Tiny, First Flights, Arena Eventing, PoleWork, Barrel Racing and our Junior Performance Jump Camp.

We’ve also got coaching dates with Gemma through the month, plus arena hires available around the diary.

And don’t forget, the Water Treadmill is available alongside all of this too. It can be a really useful addition for fitness, strength and conditioning, helping horses work through their body and support their schooling. Sessions can be tailored for general fitness, performance support, weight management, strengthening and suitable rehab programmes where appropriate.

This Sunday brings our unaffiliated open showjumping with heights 55cm - 1.10m and clear rounds at 55 & 85cm

🐴 NEW AT YORKSHIRE EC - FIRST FLIGHTS SJ

We’ve been watching how much our little riders are loving our Children’s Teeny Tiny Shows and it got us thinking...

What about the horses who need their own version?
FIRST FLIGHTS SJ is a brand new show aimed at genuine young, green and inexperienced horses who need somewhere to learn what going showjumping is actually all about.

No pressure. No worrying about faults. No eliminations because your green horse had a wobble, needed another look or forgot where its steering was for a minute!

The idea is simple. Give them a good experience and let them learn.
🐴 Poles on the Floor
🐴 35cm Cross Poles
🐴 45cm Verticals
🐴 55cm
🐴 65cm including simple oxers
🐴 75cm

There will just be maximum round time to keep things moving, and we’ll take your time just for interest, but this is NOT against the clock.
No placings. No chasing clears. No pressure to be competitive.
Just somewhere to take that sharp 4yo, the green 6yo, the older horse who has never jumped away from home, or the youngster who simply needs to see the arena, warm up, fillers and a course without being thrown straight into a normal show environment.

We’ll also be keeping First Flights for older riders, so those bringing young or potentially reactive horses can do so without worrying about young children sharing the warm up.

🏵️ Rosettes will be optional to purchase.
Plenty of riders producing youngsters won’t want one... but if that’s your horse’s very first ever show, we reckon you might quite like to take home its very first rosette ❤️

This isn’t really about winning anything.
It’s about giving them a good first flight so they’re happy to come back for the next one.

🧸Children’s Teeny Tiny SJ Sunday 13th Sep🧸

Our little riders are back with classes from poles on the floor through to 65cm.
Assistance is allowed, there are no eliminations and every rider gets a rosette.

These are proper little competition days for genuine young rider starters, lead rein riders and those still finding their feet, without them having to compete against older or much more established combinations.

Entries close 7pm Friday before.

If you know a little jockey who would love this, please tag them or give this a share for us.
