We had a shuffle around in the kennels today so we turned it into a training moment. 7 dogs, 1 open door, 0 barging allowed.

This is boundary control. Simple, boring, and could save your dog's life one day.

One name = one dog moves. The rest? Their job is to wait. Good dogs.

Lovely to have a breed in we don't see often - a Chinese Red Dog (Laizhou Hong).

Solid example of why foundation work matters. No matter the breed, size or drive, that place command, sit and stay is where it all starts. Get the foundation right and everything else becomes so much easier.

Supervisor on duty 🐾

Thought I was just nipping to check the sheep.

Apollo had other ideas. Quality control inspection in progress. Making sure the gate is secure, I'm doing it correctly, and that absolutely no sheep get past without his approval. 😂

This is what we love to see though - curiosity, engagement, and holding position at a boundary even when he really wants to be involved. That gate wait is a trained skill, not just cute paws.

Those two are absolutely nailing it — that is calmness on hard mode.

Rufus and Sherman look so settled together, especially with all the distractions around them at what looks like a show. Sue should be really proud of that.
