☀️ Hot weather dog safety reminder 🐾
As lovely as sunny days can be, walking dogs in the heat can be really dangerous.
Dogs can overheat quickly, and hot pavements can burn their paws before we even realise. Heatstroke is serious and can happen faster than many people think, so it’s always better to be cautious.
On warmer days, walks should be moved to cooler times of the day, kept shorter, or swapped for shaded garden time, enrichment, or drop-in visits instead.
No walk is worth risking a dog’s health.
Their wellbeing will always come first 🤍
