Today is National Let's Laugh Day!

This was taken last year when my son joined the dogs and I for one of our Exploration Walks.

It still makes me laugh every time I watch it, which probably makes me a terrible mother 😆

Enrichment doesn't have to be difficult.

Heading off on an exploration walk to a new area will give your dog plenty of enrichment with new smells, sights, and sounds.

It's also enriching for humans too, especially when the sun is out!

✅ Carve your own path. Don’t just copy what other businesses are doing—create a service that reflects your strengths, values, and what you bring to the table.

✅ No one has it all figured out. Even the most established businesses (mine included!) are constantly learning, adapting, and improving. Growth never stops!

✅ The rollercoaster is real. Running a business brings incredible highs—but also challenging lows. And sometimes, both happen on the same day! Knowing how to ride the wave is key.

✅ Working with dogs is amazing 🐕—but success takes more than passion. Smart business strategies, solid client relationships, and ongoing learning make all the difference.

How do I put dogs together for the group activity adventures?

Monty and Lily are the best of friends.

One week Lily takes the lead as boss girl, the next week it's Monty being boss boy.

This week it is definitely Monty who is boss boy!

On paper a black lab and a dachshund would never work, however these two have a great friendship.

But pairing dogs for the groups is not an easy job.

Which is why dogs go on a trial beforehand so that I can see what their temperament is like.

It's also why dogs need to come and join the fun each week.

Sadly not all dogs get to come on the group adventures...HOWEVER...

It doesn't mean that they can't enjoy the same fun!

The A.C.E Club can be enjoyed by any dog, anywhere.

They get to do all the same activities as the dogs on the group, but they get to do it within their own comfort zones.

With full step by step instructions and online support from me there is no reason why every dog shouldn't be part of something rebarkable!

Each month there are new activities, new games, new tricks, and new memories to be created.

Meet Daisy Vader!

This was Daisy all dressed up and ready to go on our Star Wars Activity Adventure last year.

On that adventure Daisy learnt a new trick - Paws Up, she performed a Cloud City Duel (our doggy choregraphed dance routine), and she also sniffed out some oily rags and droid parts.

I have a love hate relationship with the gym.

I love that it is something that I do with my daughter.
I love the feeling afterwards.
I love that there are a variety of activities that I can do.

But circuits on a Monday is brutal.

The first round is OK.
The second round I am starting to flag.
The third round I wonder why on earth I signed up for this.

Thankfully the circuit training on this months activity adventure isn't so brutal.

I will get the dogs to work hard and I will put them through their paces, but equally they will be rewarded for it too.

What's my reward for doing my circuits class, apart from the aching muscles?

A guilt free glass of wine!

A quick, easy, and inexpensive scent work game for your dog.

All you need is some foam pipe insulation (or pool noodles).

Cut a few wedges in them and hide some treats.

If your dog is a chewer you might want to hide the treats underneath the noodles rather than inside them.

Supervise your dog at all times.

Today marks the start of Professional Pet Sitters Week.

Pet Sitting is a completely unregulated business which means that anyone can set themselves up as a pet sitter.

I did!

All I needed was a website and a page.

There are no rules and regulations to follow (unless you are dog boarding and a licence is required) which means the person looking after your pets and the keys to your home could be anyone.

Luckily there are some amazing and trustworthy pet sitters around, you just need to do your research and your checks to find them.

Once you have found your perfect pet sitter you will be able to go on holiday knowing that your pets are in safe hands. Which means you can relax and enjoy a well deserved break.

Don't assume that once you've booked your holiday a pet sitter will be easy to find, most reliable pet sitters will be fully booked for 2025. It is best to find your pet sitter and then book your holiday around their availability.

Maybe one day pet sitting will get regulated better, but until then use my ten tips to find your perfect pet sitter and share them with your fellow dog owning friends.

Trying new activities doesn't have to be expensive or time consuming.

In January on our The Greatest Dog Show on Earth Activity Adventure we headed off to the circus (not literally).

Part of the show involved an acrobatic act like none other. It involved a daring tight rope walk and some steady paws for the balance board act.

You could buy a dog balance beam, but a leftover piece of laminate flooring did the job perfectly.

All you need is a little imagination.

Luckily I have plenty of it!

When I first started my business, managing a group of off-lead dogs felt just like trying to entertain a bunch of 3-year-olds at a birthday party—completely terrifying!

Its a phenomenon I'll never understand.

I've always said that muddy boots and muddy paws are the sign of a good walk, however I am getting a little tired of the mud now.

It makes walking ten times harder, and I always underestimate the amount of time it takes to clean paws afterwards - especially if there is a Spaniel in the group.

If you're looking for a less muddy walk that still gets you in to the countryside here are my top three suggestions.

1. Lapworth Locks (park at Kingswood Junction car park)
2. Umberslade (park at Umberslade Farm - charges apply)
3. Blythe Valley circular walk

You'll still need to wear walking boots, but the clean up won't be too bad afterwards I promise.
