A member of the public has brought a lovely little budgie into us on Tuesday after being found on a driveway in the Smethwick area. We have tried to locate an owner with no avail.

A Christmas Eve Miracle!!

Dave has been found and reunited with him amazing parents. For all of us at YourVets Smethwick we can not believe how many people have liked, commented and shared this post and it’s because of all of you that Christmas will be warm and safe for Dave and his family.

The Animal House Rescue found Dave not long ago and brought him to YourVets Smethwick where his parents saw their boy again.

9PM 23/12 update;

It has now been over 24hours since any sightings, please check front gardens bushes ect encase hiding along those lines. If you do see him please call us on 01215161999.

8:30am 23/12 Update;
He has not been seen since around 4pm yesterday going towards Bleakhouse primary school. If anyone has any sightings even brief please call us.

21:55pm 22/12 update;
He has believed to have been hit by a car on the Wolverhampton road at 4pm. Tracked towards Bleakhouse primary school. He has still not been caught or seen since. He's was also still running when last seen.

Unfortunately this beautiful boy has gone missing. He is scared so please DO NOT approach. Please call our practise on 0121 516 1999 with any sightings, he was lost in the B69 area. Let’s get him home for Christmas.

Halloween has officially landed with the YourVets Smethwick crew!🎃👻

🎆 Fireworks season can be stressful for our pets — but a little preparation goes a long way! 🎇

Here are some simple ways to help keep your furry friends calm and safe:

🐶 Create a safe space: Set up a cosy spot indoors with their bed, toys, and familiar smells.
🎵 Mask the noise: Close curtains, turn on the TV or some calm music.
🧍‍♀️ Stay relaxed: Pets take cues from us — keep calm and act normally.
🚫 Don’t punish or over-comfort: Let them hide if they want to; forcing them out can make things worse.
🐾 Plan ahead: Walk dogs before dark and keep cats indoors during displays.
💊 Try calming aids: Products like Adaptil, Zylkene, Nutracalm , pet remedy and similar supplements can really help — ask us for advice.
🩺 If your pet struggles badly: Speak to your vet — there are safe short-term options that can make a big difference.

Do you recognise me?

This sweet cat was brought into us yesterday evening after being found outside. There is no microchip. We are trying to find the owner currently. We think they’ve had a recent flea spot on applied but is quite poorly at the moment.

**HAS NOW GONE TO THE DOG WARDEN**

Do you recognise me?

This lovely pup was brought into us yesterday, however we believe was found on Wednesday near Langley Park, we will keep the gender hidden so we can find the owner. We are chipped however the number no longer works.

We have spoken to Sandwell Dog Warden who will be collecting later today if we have had no success.

This beautiful lady and her babies have found rescue space so have gone to be cared for in a home environment 💜

Beautiful female cat found B66 area. No collar or chip, has recently given birth so kittens are with her.

She is in lovely condition and really friendly so we are looking to try and locate her owner as she must have one somewhere.

We are urgently trying to find the owner of a very poorly cat that we have had handed in to us.
The cat is elderly, male, black domestic short hair and wearing a flea collar but has no microchip. He was found locally and is currently receiving first aid but we need to find his owner ASAP 🐾 thank you. Please call the clinic on 0121 516 1999 🐾
