🐾💜We are delighted to share Sam’s progress since beginning treatment at Snowy’s in July 2025 for mobility and forelimb lameness rehabilitation.

As part of his rehabilitation programme, Sam has received a combination of Physiotherapy, Laser Therapy, and Hydrotherapy in our pool, all tailored to support his comfort, mobility, and overall quality of life🤩

Through his dedication and the commitment of his owner, Sam has made excellent progress and is doing incredibly well. It is a pleasure to be part of his rehabilitation journey, and we look forward to supporting his continued success.

🐾 Welcome Maggie & Winnie! 🐾

We were delighted to welcome this lovely duo for their very first session with us 💜

Their initial assessment included muscle measurements, a basic thermal imaging, and the use of either our Tendiboots or Stance analysis equipment. With both methods providing valuable information about mobility, posture, and limb loading to help us tailor treatment plans to each dog’s needs. As we were lucky enough to have a lovely sunny day, Maggie and Winnie were able to complete their assessment using Tendiboots.

The girls are visiting us to support their mobility, with Maggie also managing carpal Osteoarthritis. Following their assessment, they enjoyed a hydrotherapy session in our pool, providing gentle, non weight-bearing exercise to support mobility, strength, and arthritic joints.

Both girls did brilliantly throughout their first session, taking everything in their stride. They were confident in the pool, worked hard, and most importantly seemed to love every minute of it!

We’re looking forward to supporting Maggie and Winnie on their journey and seeing their progress over the coming weeks 🤩

Not every day is a good day… even for dogs 💙

When this happens, there are always a variety of treatment options and rehabilitation approaches we can use to adapt the session to suit how our patients are feeling and performing on the day within a clinical treatment centre, as seen during one of Reggie’s sessions last week.

Our clinically trained hydrotherapists worked closely with our wider rehabilitation team to ensure Reggie’s rehabilitation session remained safe, supportive, and tailored to his needs on the day. While our hydrotherapists guided and assisted Reggie through the exercises, we always remain within our scope of practice, with all exercise selection and clinical reasoning remaining under one of our Veterinary Physiotherapist’s, Sonia’s, direction to ensure the highest standard of patient care. 👏

💜☀️ Canine Welfare Remains Our Priority During Warm Weather ☀️🐾

While many of our dogs continue to benefit from hydrotherapy sessions during the warmer weather, patient safety and welfare always remain our primary focus.

Hydrotherapy can provide a safe and effective form of exercise during hotter conditions, as the controlled aquatic environment helps support temperature regulation whilst allowing low-impact rehabilitation and conditioning.

However, during periods of increased temperatures, all sessions are carefully adapted according to the individual dog’s needs and tolerance levels.

At Snowys Canine Therapy Centre, we continuously monitor:
🌡️ Water and environmental temperatures
💧 Hydration and recovery periods
🐶 Respiratory rate, fatigue levels, and overall comfort
⏱️ Exercise intensity, duration, and recovery intervals

Each session is individually tailored based on the dog’s medical condition, age, mobility, fitness level, and current presentation on the day.

As qualified canine therapy professionals, we are committed to maintaining the highest standards of patient welfare, ensuring that every dog can participate safely, comfortably, and without unnecessary physical stress - even during periods of warmer weather.

The wellbeing of our patients will always come first🐾💜

Here is the lovely Elsa enjoying the coolness of the water on a day like today! Having lots to say about it☀️

☀️🐶 Hot weather alert for tomorrow!

While the sunshine is lovely, our dogs don’t always agree with us humans about what counts as “perfect weather” 😅

If you’d prefer not to travel with your dog tomorrow, please pop us a message and we’ll happily rearrange your session. Their comfort, health, and safety always come first. 🐾💛

We’d always rather postpone than have any overheated companions - the dogs make the rules around here after all! 🐶👑

🐾 Meet Nancy 🐾

Today, gorgeous Nancy came to see us for a Full Thermal Imaging & TendiBoots Assessment 💜

Thermal imaging is a fantastic, non-invasive way to help identify areas of inflammation, tension, imbalance, or discomfort by detecting changes in heat patterns throughout the body. It can help highlight potential problem areas early, allowing us to better support mobility, recovery, and overall wellbeing.

Nancy also had her TendiBoots assessment, which helps us evaluate tendon and ligament health, stability, and movement. This can be especially beneficial for dogs needing extra support, rehabilitation, performance monitoring, or injury prevention.

One of the beauties of the TendiBoots is their adaptability across different ground textures, making assessments easier to perform on surfaces such as grass, concrete, or softer ground without affecting gait readings.

By combining both assessments, we can build a clearer picture of how your dog is moving and feeling, helping us tailor the best support for them 🐶✨

Nancy was an absolute superstar throughout her visit - and looked very cute in her boots too! 🐾

If you’re interested in learning more about Thermal Imaging or TendiBoots Assessments for your dog, please feel free to contact us 💜

💜🐾Behind The Scenes Of Great Care🐾💜

One thing that has always been important to Snowy’s is making sure both dogs and owners feel supported from the moment they arrive 🐾

From helping dogs safely in and out of cars, to keeping appointments and admin running smoothly, maintaining a clean and calm environment, and making clients feel welcomed and looked after - every detail matters to Snowy’s.

We also incredibly grateful to Chaira, who has become such an important part of keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes over the past few months 💙

Canine Hydrotherapy is about so much more than the session itself. Snowy’s are proud of the care and support we provide every single day.

Thank you to all of our wonderful clients for continuing to trust us with your dogs’ wellbeing.

Tommy the handsome yellow Labrador is always a pleasure to have with us 💛

He attends regular sessions combining laser therapy and hydrotherapy to support his forelimb mobility, and he approaches each visit with a positive attitude that makes him a joy to work with. Whether he’s relaxing during treatment or making the most of his time in the water, Tommy truly seems to enjoy his therapy sessions.

We’re delighted to support him on his journey to improved comfort and mobility 🐾✨
