Loki had his surgery and recovers well so far๐Ÿ™ He needed a lot of extractions and the damage to his teeth and gums was extensive. He most likely has got calici virus, which is common with teeth and gums diseases on top of being fiv positive. We hope that the surgery will give him a massive relief and once recovered he can begin his fresh new start๐Ÿ˜ป

Thank you so much for all the donations โค๏ธwe raised ยฃ205โค๏ธ

The bill is likely to be even higher then the estimated ยฃ860 due to severity of the damage. If anyone would like to help with just a pound or two, we would be very grateful๐Ÿ™

And as always we remind everyone about importance of early neutering. Loki could have been spared fiv, injuries and rotten mouth if he was neutered.

WE ARE ANGRY๐Ÿคฌ

๐ˆ๐ฌ neutering ๐ซ๐ž๐š๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฒ ๐š ๐œ๐ก๐จ๐ข๐œ๐ž?

No. Itโ€™s not an option you may or may not want to take. Itโ€™s not really a choice either. If you are a responsible owner, there is only one right thing to do.

Look at this. Mum was last seen 3 days before we were notified. People discovered them 2 days before.

One dead.
One barely alive.
One in very bad shape.
One extremely weak.
And two strong enough to get out โ€” and thanks to them, people found the others.

We are angry. Very angry. Angry that these kittens had to lie in their own p*e, holding onto their dead sibling, barely alive, when all of this could have been prevented if someone had neutered mum.

But listen to this. Eight months ago, we got a call from the house two doors down about an injured cat. At the time, we could only assess the situation and asked them to call us back with an update later that evening. But we noticed a lot of cats hanging around. People admitted they were feeding many strays โ€” over 15 of them.

We offered to help trap and neuter them. They never got back to us.

Instead, they contacted a shady rescuer who collected the injured cat, dumped it at a vet as usual, and completely failed to address the massive problem developing there โ€” and how quickly it could turn into a colony of 150 cats.

Now we have:
1 dead kitten who suffered for God knows how long,
several fighting for their lives,
others traumatised and emaciated,
and a mum cat who is either dead or seriously ill.

Neutering is not an optional decision. If you choose to have a cat, this is your primary responsibility. Failing to neuter leads to exactly these situations: kittens suffering.

Cat Welfare Luton are currently trying to save them after taking them in last night. Please consider donating to support their work.

And once again โ€” donโ€™t just feed strays if you are not willing to neuter them, or at least cooperate with rescues that are trying to help.

PLEASE SHOW THIS PHOTO TO YOUR NEIGHBOURS, FAMILY AND FRIENDS IF THEY OWN OR FEED UNNEUTERED CATS. And share this post.

Loki needs you all today๐Ÿ˜ฟ

If you remember he was rescued in a bad shape, he was limping, full of wounds, terribly skinny and FIV positive.

He was shut down. Defeated and resigned. He didn't have much hope left in him.

We gave him time to decompress and slowly gained his trust. The change is unbelievable! He feels and looks so much better! He put on lots of weight and is cuddly and friendly. All wounds healed nicely and his fur grows back quickly.

Unfortunately with today's vet check up it was discovered that his teeth are much worse than we initially thought. He is only 3, but time spent on the street put his body under so much stressed that his teeth look like at least 10 year old cat๐Ÿ˜ช

Lots of rotten and broken teeth. We've been quoted ยฃ850 for dental.

We hate to ask, but could anyone help us with this bill please?๐Ÿ™

Details for donation in comments.

Big thank you from our lovely boy who deserves the best! ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™

Kiki is reserved and going home in a few days โค๏ธ

๐Š๐ข๐ค๐ข is looking for ๐Ÿก

Kiki is a young female around 1-2 year old, who is with us since September 2025 since she was found in the park. She was displaying symptoms of being taken away from mum and siblings way too soon and was chasing hands and feet. She hasn't done it for a while now and she is ready to look for her forever home. She is looking for quiet adult only home who will understand her nature. She is very young and still behaves like a kitten, but being on the streets she had to grow up quickly being attacked from every corner. She is friendly on her terms and likes to play. Kiki is territorial and needs a home without other pets.

She is neutered, vaccinated with 2 doses, microchipped and parasite treated.

This lovely boy recovered well and is now ready to find his forever home.

Loki, is still a young boy of 3, is one of those cats who has been through a lot, fighting for survival for over 2 years on the street. Upon rescue, we found out he had a microchip and we contacted the owners who lost him when he was only 9 months old. Sadly they couldn't take him back and surrendered him to us.

When he was rescued he was terribly skinny, matted and limping. He had to be shaved fully. He had a lot of fight wounds, so we tested him for FIV&felv and it turned out he is positive for FIV. It doesn't impact him at the slightest right now, but it might in the future as he is still very young. New owners need to understand that it's lower immunity and any issues need to be addressed sooner rather than later.

He has made a massive progress already as when he came in he was completely shut down. At the moment he allows strokes, head rubs, brushing and plays happily.

He would be ideal for a quiet home of someone who always wanted to rescue the underdog and understands he needs time to settle.

He has been neutered and parasite treated, plus all his wounds treated. He hasn't been vaccinated yet as it he was quite poorly, but now since he recovered will be vaccinated before leaving (without fiv part of vaccine).
