Warm weekends at the Cattery mean everyone finds their favourite cool spot. Today it’s all about cooling on the concrete, which is thankfully lovely and chilled. Perfect for stretching out, relaxing, and watching the wildlife wander by.

As our time running the cattery draws to an end, we wanted to introduce you to the next family who will be looking after your pets during their stay at Church View Cattery. Karen and Mark will shortly be taking charge and are both really excited at the opportunity of meeting all of our loyal customers and their feline family. We’re really pleased that we have found someone who shares our love of cats and have every confidence that they will continue to maintain the exceptionally high standards we have created during our time at the helm.
As we depart, we would like to thank each and every one of our loyal customers who have made our time at Church View Cattery so enjoyable. We will miss each and every one of you.

Just a little introduction from both Karen and Mark below:

We wanted to take a moment to introduce ourselves as we begin this new chapter at Church View Cattery. Mark and I are delighted to be taking over the business, and we want to express our sincere thanks to Ruth, Russell and family for trusting us with the exceptional cattery they have built. Their dedication, compassion, and high standards are evident in every part of Church View, and we feel privileged to continue the legacy they has created.

We are fully committed to providing the same high standard of care, compassion, and first‑class customer service that you and your cats have always received. Your pets’ wellbeing will remain at the heart of everything we do.

A little about us. We are Karen and Mark, and we have been together for 27 years. We have two teenage children and are excited to be returning to Lincolnshire after 12 years away, looking forward to being closer to family, friends, and the community we have always considered home.

Both of us served in the RAF. Mark worked as a firefighter and volunteer military medical co‑responder, supporting people in some of their most challenging moments. I (Karen) served in senior leadership roles, supporting people, guiding teams, and creating environments where others can thrive. Alongside my RAF career, I’ve been a Guide and Brownie leader for over 35 years — a role rooted in community, responsibility, and care.

Our much‑loved cat, Murphy, is very much looking forward to meeting everyone and settling into his role as official feline ambassador.

We cannot wait to get to know you and your cats, and we look forward to welcoming you to Church View Cattery soon.

We’re pleased to share with all of our customers, that having secured a buyer for our home, the cattery will be continuing to operate under the new owners care.
The legacy we have built since starting Church View Cattery will continue to serve our loyal customers in the years to come.

We would like to take this opportunity again to thank everyone for their continued support during the time while our home has been on the market, and rest assured your cats will continue to receive the same love and care that has been afforded them during our time at the helm of Church View Cattery.

We will share with you more details of the new owners in due course, but we wanted to share this exciting news with you all at the earliest opportunity so you can be assured your furry friends holiday can continue with us into 2026 and beyond.

We want to keep all our loyal customers and friends of the cattery updated; our beloved family home of 18 years is now officially on the market.
Please be assured that we will continue to run the cattery during this period, so if you have a booking with us over the summer months, this will be honoured. We sincerely hope that any prospective buyer will look to take on the cattery and continue the legacy we have created allowing Church View Cattery to continue to serve the local community for years to come.

Today we make the very sad and difficult announcement that we are putting our beloved home up for sale. This doesn’t necessarily mean that Church View Cattery will be closing, as we’re advertising our home with an option to purchase the business as a going concern.
We are aware however that this may have a potential impact on our customers if the next owner decides not to purchase the cattery, at which point we will have no option but to close down Church View Cattery, which is why we’re sharing the news with our very loyal customers before you see the for sale board go up or hear it from someone else.
We will continue to honour all current bookings as we progress through the sales process, but if the cattery is to close we will give you as much notice as possible. We don’t expect this to impact summer bookings due to the length of time the house sale takes to complete.

This has been an extremely difficult decision for us to arrive at; we purchased this home over 18 years ago with the sole intention to open a cat only boarding facility, providing luxurious boarding facilities for our feline friends. We like to think we have achieved this, and the many returning customers we have had provides us some comfort that what we have achieved over the years has helped you relax that little bit more whilst you’ve been away, knowing that your cats have been looked after and well cared for.
We would like to say a special thank you to all of our customers over the years, who have put their trust in us to look after your furry family member whilst you’ve been away have been away.

If you or anyone you know may be interested in continuing our legacy, please do share our details and ask them to get in touch. We would love to pass on the reins of this wonderful home and business to a like minded family who will be able to keep the cattery running, serving the community for many more years to come.

Afternoon all. Hope you are enjoying the weather?! I’ve come on to ask if any of you can help? As you all know we live down a country lane. The grass in the middle on the lane gets quite long and after numerous requests to the council they are still saying that this is a characteristic of a country lane and they will not clear it. The farmer will not clear it either as if they do any damage they will be billed by the council for repair.
I have today filled another fixmystreet report to try again. If possible could any of you help? The more reports are put in the better the outcome (hopefully). I have taken some photos you are free to use with your report.
This is too big a job to do by hand ourselves and we are concerned the build up may damage lower vehicles. Any help greatly appreciated!
