For those of you who maybe haven’t noticed yet, Dogsbody is now stocking the JR Pate 🐶

So why the change? The other brand I stocked wasn’t awful but there was 4% of unnecessary ingredients despite it being “gourmet pate”. A few of you had mentioned you used the JR brand so I had a look into it and was very impressed:

🤓 It’s Fun Fact Friday - Breed of the Month 🤓

🐶 This time it’s all about the whippet
🐶 A breed often described as 2 halves; they have a gentle, affectionate side to them but can also be very highly strung
🐶 They often do better in homes where the owner has had sighthounds before rather than first time dog owners
🐶 Whippets originate from Northern England - official records were not kept but it’s thought they were bred from smaller greyhounds or Italian greyhounds crossed with Manchester terriers
🐶 Their breed purpose was catching rabbits for sport and gambling in the 19th Century, now their breed purpose is taking over the sofa on rainy days when they refuse to go outside 🥹
🐶 You might think they need a lot of exercise but actually they thrive off short bursts of speed so their exercise requirements are not excessive

Well the doggy ice cream is back in stock 🤩 Choose from vanilla or mint, both are low lactose levels compared to human ice cream, contain vitamins and joint support and the mint ice cream even contains odour-aid to help with bad breath. 🍫🐣🐶 Fun Fact Friday is about food today, specifically the food to keep away from your dog this Easter Weekend 🐶🐣🍫

🍫 Whilst we tuck into our chocolate eggs make sure your dog does not as it is poisonous to them

🦴 If you’re having a roast over the weekend, please don’t give the left over bones to your dog as they can splinter making them a choke hazard AND too much bone can cause digestive issues

🍇 Hot cross buns are a no no for dogs as raisins can cause them fatal kidney problems

🍬 Again our sweeties are not made for dogs, they often contain artificial sweeteners which are poisonous to dogs

Keep the dogs away from these things and have a wonderful Easter weekend with your friends, family and animals 🥰

I think there’s a chance Rosie was a tad excited to try the new Peamutt balls 😂

Molly and Rosie reviewed the Peamutt balls and they loved them! Rosie’s hooman reported that the treats are a little bit soft so you could snap them if need be but being terriers the girls had no issues biting through the whole thing.

There are 6 balls in the packet, they are grain and palm oil free and you’ll even get a tiny bit of change from a £2 coin which is great when the pennies count right now 🐶

Yes I know that’s a weird sentence to say but go with me on this. The chicken feet in the shop are natural, they have been cooked and then air dried. That is all, no colourants, additives, preservatives, sugar or anything of the sort. You know exactly what you’re feeding to your dog.

Suitable for puppies from 3 months, available as singles for you to get as few or many as you would like or I can order you 1kg bags 😊

For those of you who might be new, Paleo Ridge is a UK brand of raw food, they specialise in only the best ingredients and their classic range follows a 80/10/10 recipe meaning 80% meat, 10% bone and 10% offal. There are no fillers bulking it out, paleo ridge classic is exactly what it says it is.

🐶 Do any of you currently use Millie’s Wolfheart (MWH) dog food? 🐶

I confess this is a brand that I’d seen in 1 pet shop and they stocked the more supermarket kind of brands so I presumed that MWH also had negative ingredients, but it turns out I was very wrong! A customer needed some food for her dalmatian which is a breed that requires very specific food and when I started looking into potential brands for her, MWH came highly recommended by numerous dalmatian owners. So I started researching MWH and here’s what they are about, ALL of their recipes are formulated WITHOUT:
🐶 Gluten
🐶 GRAIN
🐶 Rice
🐶 Chicken
🐶 Eggs
🐶 Beet Pulp
🐶 Additives
🐶 Synthetic Preservatives

They do numerous different types of dog food both dry and wet and not forgetting a massive selection of treats. Not only that but they are a local brand which is always worth supporting. My dalmatian customer is now on her 3rd bag of food and she’s even put her labradors on it too.

With MWH being so local I would be able to go collect exactly what you need like I do for this customer already or I can look into trying to squish it into the shop somehow 😅 Let me know your thoughts.

Ask and you shall receive; a customer needed some more spider life substrate for her tarantula so I figured I’d order a few extra bits to make the delivery fee more worth it. Bit by bit the reptile section is getting more stock.

We are also ignoring the part where the spider life bag came in a separate box and that was the first box I opened and nearly had a heart attack at the image of the tarantula staring right at me! 👀😅

🐀 Their whiskers are super sensitive
🐀 Rats teeth never stop growing, it’s one of the reasons they are such foodies because they constantly need to knaw their teeth down
🐀 Rats are very intelligent - in parts of the world rats are used to sniff out diseases, drugs and even bombs 😳

📸 This adorable mischief is Skye, Luna, Comet and Nova. They were much loved pets of my best friend, she asked me one day if I would drive her to Leeds to rescue Skye and Luna who were not being kept in adequate conditions and of course I wasn’t going to say no at being involved. It wasn’t long before she also took in Comet and Nova to complete the gang 🤍🤎🤍🤎
