A heatwave is on its way ☀️

We say this a lot, but at Pardus K9, canine welfare is at the heart of everything we do, and that includes making sure our dogs stay safe during hot weather.

Many people underestimate just how quickly heat can affect dogs, and overheating can become extremely serious in a short space of time.

Signs of heatstroke can include excessive panting, heavy drooling, lethargy, vomiting, diarrhoea, bright red gums, confusion, wobbling, or even collapse.

During the hotter days, try to walk your dogs early in the morning or later in the evening, avoid hot pavements, keep fresh water available at all times, and make sure they always have access to shade and cool areas. Most importantly, never leave a dog in a car, even for a few minutes.

If you’re ever concerned about your dog during the heat, please contact your vet as soon as possible.

🐾 Lunchtime Dog Rescue! 🐾

We have some "paws-itive" news to share this afternoon! We are absolutely thrilled to announce that Bobby, the missing dog, has been found and is safe.

A massive well done to Bea (Year 6), our vigilant pupil who spotted Bobby through the fence right at the end of lunchtime today. Thanks to her quick eyes and our fast thinking staff, Bobby is now reunited with his family.

Enjoy those extra treats tonight, Bobby! 🦴🐕
