🐾 Saturday Class Recap 🐾. This weekend we focused on two of the most important foundation skills in dog training: Sit and Down! 🐶. Why are these cues so important? 🌟They teach your dog self control. 🌟Help build communication and trust. 🌟Are the first steps to preventing jumping, lunging and chaos. 🌟Let’s be real - a well trained sit and down can save you in so many situations. Our Puppy Club and Dog Squad worked hard, and so dud their humans! 💛Big shout out to everyone who showed up, showed patience, consistency and lots of love. As we enjoy the great outdoors, it’s our responsibility to keep our dogs and livestock safe! Here’s how to be a responsible dog around sheep:
✔️ Keep dogs on lead near livestock-even the best train dogs have instincts!
✔️ avoid fields with sheep when possible to prevent stress or chasing.
✔️ respect from signs and stick to designated footpath.
✔️ train a solid recall and leave it command and keep your dog under control at all times.
✔️ be mindful of lambing season-ewes and lambs are especially vulnerable.
Sheep worrying isn’t just dangerous-it’s against the law. Let’s enjoy nature responsibly and respectfully.🐾💚

Nothing beats a pack walk with good dogs and great company! 🌳🦮 Our group walks are the perfect way to practice lead manners, socialisation and engagement in the real world setting.
This group benefited from strengthening focus and obedience in distractions. Building confidence around other dogs. And it created a calm structured walking experience.
Training doesn’t stop at home and this new course means our puppies and dogs enjoyed a walk with a purpose.

Hi everyone. Did you know that every year thousands of sheep face injuries or worse due to uncontrolled dogs? Let’s talk about why it’s crucial to keep our very friends safe around these gentle animals!
Respecting boundaries : sheep are prey animals and even a small chase or a dog running up to a sheep can cause them immense stress or injury.
Training and control: keep your dog on a lead near sheep or in areas where they may encounter livestock. Training your dog to be calm and obedient is the best way to ensure their safety and the safety of others. Bear is very respectful of our visiting neighbours sheep and he will walk past calmly with a fence barrier between him and the sheep.
farmers: Let’s support our rural communities by being responsible dog owners. Spread the word: build a world where dogs and wildlife coexist peacefully. Being a responsible pet is it just about loving your dog? It’s about respecting the world that they live in.
