Please be aware the Pawsitively Pets is temporarily closed for any bookings.

Most of my regular clients know this but as we are heading into the summer holiday season I have been getting a lot of new booking enquiries.

I am currently recovering from surgery and am due to have another surgery next month so am unable to take bookings for the foreseeable future.

This Sunday 19th September is National Pass Wide & Slow day 🗓

Horse riders and carriage drivers up and down the country will be taking part in organised rides to raise awareness and educate other road users on how to safely pass horses and carriages on the road.

In the last year 1,010 road incidents involving horses have been reported to The British Horse Society.

Of these reports….
🐎 46 horses have died .
🐎 118 horses have been injured .
🐎 130 people have been injured because of road incidents.
🐎 45% of riders were victims to road rage or abuse.
🐎 80% of these incidents occurred because a vehicle passed by too closely to the horse.
🐎 43% of incidents occurred because a vehicle passed by too quickly.

If you see a horse or carriage on the road:

🚗 Slow down to a maximum of 15mph.
🚗 Be patient, don’t sound your horn or rev your engine.
🚗 Pass the horse wide and slow, (if safe to do so) with a gap of at least a car's width.
🚗 Drive slowly away.
