💔 Bandit 💔
Yesterday Bandit was driven to a remote area in Kent and smashed in the head with what the vet thinks would have been a shovel in the hopes he would die 💔
When he was found he was curled up next to a badana that he had been guarding with a fresh bloody fracture that had not only opened his skin but also his skull so his actual brain was exposed 💔😩
Thanks to the Swale vets he had surgery immediately yesterday and has remained under observations which have been going well so far.
Investigations have shown he has an unregistered Ukranian chip sold in 2022 which puts him between 1-3 years old. Which does mean he likely came over from Ukraine to the UK possibly with someone fleeing war there.
I cannot imagine his love and trust being abused so callously and violently. That someone took him there smashed him in the head and left him to die. That he laid there alone for any time at all, that he waited for someone to find him. Bandit was always meant to be found...to know that this world isn't made up of all these awful things. That there is some really beautiful things to experience and that he will have them...which we promise...I hope one day we will see him on the beach taking in the world with a mum or dad who think he is the best thing to have ever come into this world.
To the piece of s**t who betrayed his trust like this, who left him alone in the hopes his exposed brain would be enough to end him - one day karma will come back around and find you.
The lovely dog warden said: His first night in the vets was smooth. He's been clean in his kennel, has a hearty appetite and greeted everyone with a waggy tail. At this point, his prognosis is still guarded, but things are moving in the right direction ❤️
Brain injury is complex and the time for further problems to come forward is unknown. So once he is signed off from the pounds vets he will come to us (likely early next week) to start again under our vets and we will take it a day at a time.
For now he will be kenneled with us so we can monitor him safely, this is £13 a day and we very very much need donations to cover this.
He also needs a pamper pack because there is no way he will be spending a day without everything a boy could ever need. But we need help to do this.
You can find toys and treats for him on our wishlist, please add a note for Bandit:
