Those ears, that head tilt 😍

Platinum package started for this gorgeous pupster 🥰 yes she’s still a baby, slowly creeping into adolescence… and definitely starting to feel those frustration levels increase.

Met this little guy yesterday, turned up, made a mess, then left… standard procedure 😝 another one now off to the vets to discuss pain. Reactivity increasing and some gait abnormalities that cannot be ignored. Just because it’s common for a breed to “hop” or “skip” doesn’t mean it doesn’t hurt. But this guy had an injury when young on the exact leg he’s now hopping on, red flags all over the shop 🚩 once we know he’s comfortable, the behavioural work will commence. For now it’s all about giving this boy outlets to reduce frustration and release some happy hormones whilst we investigate this physical issue ❤️ those ears tho!!! 🐾

Final session with Finn yesterday, covering the rescue and rehabilitation package. This young man has come on so well since our first session. The main focus has been building his confidence and helping him feel comfortable and secure, and all the hard work is paying off.

The last four clips are updates I’ve received from his wonderful human, showing off his latest adventures. This little man is so lucky, and has landed firmly on his paws.

Now it’s simply a case of time, consistency, and continuing to progress in the right direction. He’s certainly settled in, now demanding belly rubs, wagging that little tail of his, and barking far less now that he feels safe in his new home.

Of course, all three had to get involved when the belly rubs and treats came out! 🐾

Guys, it’s been just ONE WEEK since I last saw this wonderful team, and the difference already is HUGE!

We haven’t focused on the barking itself - instead we’ve been teaching new habits and reinforcing all of her awesome choices. Her human said she genuinely can’t believe how quickly things have started to change.

Next time, we’ll be tackling the front door. But the biggest transformation for this lovely girly is that she’s finally getting appropriate outlets to meet her needs and simply be a dog. Her frustration levels have lowered, and we’re already seeing much more calmness coming through.

We’ve also discussed getting rugs down for the slippy floor, and she’s now on green-lipped mussel alongside some other yummy additions to help support her joints. She’s had the same surgery as Arnold, so we’ll also be focusing on arthritis prevention moving forward.

Can’t wait for the next session ❤️ 🐾

Simple training tools that actually keep your dog safe. Come here, stop and wait! I recalled Arnold away from the water (his favourite thing ever) I then asked him to stop and wait as I checked the coast was clear. Sometimes there are other dogs down there and Arnold bulldozing in may not be well received.

When I turned my head he took the opportunity to come forward. Did I tell him off? No! Did I make him go back and start again? No! I just simply reminded him what I needed him to do. Is it perfect? No! Could I have gone again and made it perfect? Yes! But that is not reality.

Dogs have their own minds and will make decisions against our requests sometimes. I’d rather my dog felt safe to make his own mind up as opposed to being too scared to move. I’m not his boss, and he doesn’t obey me. I give him guidance and he chooses to listen. Arnold knows if he does wait, he’ll get to go splash about. That’s why he listens, not because of any consequences if he doesn’t. And if he did completely ignore me, that’s on me to put more practise in!

And yes even trainers repeat themselves at times 😂 we are human and we too are not perfect! Wait, wait, wait 😝 🐾

Please show some love to my beautiful friends who have sadly lost their very special boy. Losing a pet is losing a family member, and Senna was loved by so many.

He was the very first dog Arnold met as a puppy, and they became friends for life. We always braced ourselves when they got together as the doggy chaos erupted! No matter how long it had been, they were always so happy to see each other, as you can see in the videos 🥰

Here are some happy memories that we’ve shared over the years, Senna even joined one of our walkies when I first started out.

Run free gorgeous boy 🌈 You will be forever missed. And all the love and strength to my dear friends during this difficult time.

The love of a dog is truly indescribable ❤️ 🐾

First session and woo it’s a Goldie 💛 we are going to be working on barking, if you couldn’t tell 😂 barking is just a symptom, so we’ll actually be looking more at the cause and how/when it’s been accidentally reinforced. This clever girly simply knows what works, all together now… awoooo!!! 🐾
