The equine hospital was developed in the late 1990's to include a purpose built equine operating theatre, padded anaesthetic induction and recovery boxes, and a large examination room. The hospital was further expanded to include purpose built isolation facilities, extra stabling (bringing the total number to 19) and indoor stocks for standing surgical and medical procedures. We also have paddock area for inpatient use. Small Animal Hospital

The small animal veterinary surgeons, Con Hassett, David Blow, Craig Hunt, Martin Rudkin, Alison Pagett and Rosie Thorpe have over 75 years of small animal veterinary experience between them and are supported by a team of eight fully qualified veterinary nurses and four trainee veterinary nurses. The small animal department was refurbished in 2002 and has 2 waiting rooms, 4 consulting rooms, a large prep area, 3 operating theatres and a wide range of species specific hospitalisation areas. The vets have a wide range of surgical and medical interests, and can use the latest equipment to diagnose problems and treat your pet.

Chine Team Challenge 2026.
Following the huge success of our previous challenges (National 3 Peaks, Yorkshire 3 Peaks and Langdale 10 which was the hardest by far) ton June 20th we are taking on the 9 Edges Hike in the Peak District. This is a 23 mile challenge to hike along 9 different gritstone edges.

We are supporting 2 charities this year, Vetlife who support all of the veterinary community with confidential and free help for financial, health and mental health advice.

Our other charity is Lymphoma Action who provide advice, care and information for those going through their treatment journey - a charity close to our hearts at Chine House.

We know times are tough at the moment but if you could support us it would be very much appreciated.
Thank you

Help Chine House Veterinary Hospital raise money to support Lymphoma Action

Today is all about celebrating Milo.

Milo and his owner received a devastating diagnosis of lymphoma. After thorough discussion , Milo’s owner decided upon a course of chemotherapy for him.

Here he is earlier today, happy and impatient to get on with life after he had his last round of treatment. Milo has been such a gentle and tolerant patient and having seen him nearly every week for the last 5 months we’ll miss him! The goodest of the good boys!
