Even tho we have air con (set at 18 degrees) in the salon; We at Beautifur Pet Grooming (professionally trained) have a duty of care/welfare responsibility to your pets. During this unusual heatwave in May - we are constantly looking at the changing preditions in heatwave temperatures each day. Thankfully, today was only up to 27 degrees The 1st appt's customer (9.30am, who lives around the corner) chose to drive his dog to her appt/collect -instead of walking her to us) He sensibly, understood the weather and the inpact it could have on his dog. Heartfelt praise to him. 🙌
During intense heatwaves (28+), even tho we have air con, we will ONLY be working a.m. - lunch time. Its not right to walk or drive your pet to our salon in 30+ degree heat. I will be contacting those who have booked in for late afternoon appts next week to discuss alternative appts. I'm more than happy to move a 4pm appt already pre booked (if 30-33 degree predicted) to 8am and come in extra early.
