𝗪𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗵 𝗽𝗶𝗽𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺?

This photo shows why we need to replace the century-old cast-iron pipes in Bexley Village and North Cray.

They're old and decaying.

They break whether it's hot or cold.

And when they burst, fixing the pipes is hugely disruptive.

The new plastic pipes are more climate-resilient and will last for 150 years.

Thames Water will soon be replacing 391 metres of mains pipe on Bexley High Street (which has burst 19 times).

Work will start on Monday 7 September and finish at the end of January 2027.

The current work on North Cray Road and Vicarage Road will be completed before this begins.

I'll post more updates as we approach the road closure.

We totally agree with this. We will not dematt for hrs, if matting is close to skin. Humanity/comfort/positive grooming experiences are key to us. We endevour to educate and work with owners; highlighting home maintenance regimes that are essential for owners of high maintenance coats inbetween appts. We love the owners who listen and take on our professional advice.

August is historically a quieter month for us (over 12yrs established) However, we have received alot of last min requests for appts. Whilst we are more than happy to be fully booked -please note we are fully booked next week. (Even with aircon - we do not work over 30 degrees for welfare reasons to your pets and us). We do have appts available the 3rd/4th week of Aug available.
We hope you and your furbabies are coping during this long term heatwave

Please note that Northcray Rd access from Bexley is NOT accessable due to 6 weeks Thames Water closure road works. Atleast until end of 1st week Sept - you can ONLY access our salon, in St James Way DA14 5HF, from Sidcup hill/7oaks way in Ruxley corner enterance onto Northcray Rd (492 buses are interrmitently missiing out Northcray rd - so its better to get a 233 to Ruxley corner and walking down Northcray rd 10 mins to get to us)

Signs have gone up to notify people that the North Cray Rd will be closed ‘from’ 27th July. ❌❌❌❌
No further details are on the signs so has anyone local received any notifications from of the exact closure/time scale/works to be done?
