With a dog so severely matted it's pointless to try to do anything other then clip off fully. You need go under the maths, not through. So generally you need use a blade 10 # though you could try a 7 #. Also a skiptooth comes into its own in a situation like this.

Elsa is homed but Romeo is left behind at the shelter. He is just over 1 year and been there his entire life!!!!.
The whole litter have been proven to be gentle and loving so you can't go wrong if you chose him

So this dog is terrified of human touch so let’s not even bring clippers , dryers and baths into the equation.
Being a good groomer also means reading the dog, being aware of his needs , wants and fears. Handling is as important as the groom. So here we used no restraints, no clippers and took our time. A shoddy cut but the pride is in the fact the dog is sitting at the end of the groom. For him this is so brave it’s unreal.
