Wags and whiskers is an established dog daycare company based in Shrewsbury.
We have a acre daycare site where our dogs spend the day playing and socialising.
We are looking to take on a new daycare assistant to add to our team. You would be working with the dogs each day in the daycare, playing with them and keeping them entertained, and making sure they behave themselves! You would also be responsible for cleaning, washing dogs and equipment amongst other duties.
You must be happy working alone, and confident to open and close the daycare site.
The successful applicant should ideally have previous experience with dogs, must be physically fit, have excellent communication skills, and be honest and trustworthy.
It is essential that you are comfortable dealing with a large group of excited and playful dogs. You must be able to think fast and remain calm in any situation to insure the safety of all dogs at all times. You should also be happy working in any weather as no matter how hard it rains, our dogs have still got to be exercised and walked.
You would need to be able to cover holiday.
As a small company, we rely heavily on our team and reliability is absolutely essential. We are looking to recruit someone who is looking to work with us for a significant amount of time. We need you to turn up on time everyday without fail- if you aren't 100% sure you can commit to this please don't apply.
To be considered you will need to be:
⭐️ Positive, energetic and a great team player
⭐️ Experienced and competent at using social media for business purposes
⭐️ A people person that is confident around people as well as dogs
⭐️ Use your initiative and think on your feet.
⭐️ Driving license would be beneficial
⭐️ Experience of working with animals.
