Our Barking to Behaving course is here to support both you and your dog in building calmer, more confident walks together 🐾

🧠 This 4-week course is designed for dogs who find it hard to regulate their emotions around other dogs while on lead. We’ll focus on helping your dog feel more at ease and giving you the tools to support them every step of the way.

📍Training Tip – Stop Unwanted Barking

🐶 Does your dog bark at everything? Here’s how to fix it! 🐾

✅ Engage more with your dog during potentially triggering situations
✅ Where possible, allow plenty of space between your dog and potential triggers
✅ If they are being good, reward with a treat from your hand or put it on the floor and tell them to "find it"
✅ If they do get triggered and bark, remember to stay calm – don’t reward barking with attention
✅ Redirect your dog's focus with a command like “watch me”
✅ Reward with praise and treats when your dog focusses on you
✅ Try to reward again before your dog barks for a second time
✅Keep rewarding any quiet behaviour while the trigger is still in the environment
✅ If your dog doesn't stop barking, walk away and try again when they have calmed down
