Our first long reigning session last week was a success! First video shows the very start of the session where he was very unsure and panicked a little bit but after about 5 minutes he was going round so well! I just love how quick he learns 💗

This week we started lunging! Nothing too strenuous just walking with halt transitions and Ross has picked it up so quickly! The halt transitions are slow but they are coming 🙈

My main goal this year is to not put too much pressure on myself! I’m really bad at thinking I need to achieve everything at once and then it takes the fun out of the things I actually love! All I want to achieve this year is having fun with my horse and my friends.💗

What’s everyone’s goals for 2026? Big or small?

Ross is happy wearing his bit now and as you can see he’s not bothered by me standing next to him on the step! So we will now start introducing some lunging but I’m in no rush and want to make sure he understands everything I’m asking of him. 💗

Two happy boys on a cold winters morning! Both wrapped up warm in their premier equine rugs.

Our first farrier day was a good one! Ross behaved impeccably! I’ve had the same farrier for years now and he’s always been so patient and kind which makes a big difference in the horses behaviour! Especially if they are young and unsure!
