🌬️ It’s a windy one today — the perfect excuse to stay in and get stuck into a full reflock! 🐴✨

A full reflock should ideally be done every 2 years, depending on how often the saddle is used. It’s not just about freshening up the flocking — it’s a chance to check the tree, assess overall fit, and give everything a deep clean, especially in those places you can’t normally reach. 🧽🔍

Regular maintenance like this keeps your saddle in top condition, supports your horse’s comfort, and helps catch any issues early before they become bigger problems.

Had the pleasure of spending the morning with beautiful Barb Arab stallion "Sahara" and his fun donkey friend. Happiest donkey I've ever met.

Catching up with admin this weekend then starting the week with a full reflock.

Always looking to further my skills and knowledge to help horses and riders, this course run by Horses Inside Out with the legendary Sue Dyson was a must for me 😁

Amazing first session going into more depth on the 24 behaviours of ridden horses in pain. It's going to be an eye opening 8 weeks!

Bah, if I had a £1 for every time someone said this to me, I'd be wallowing on a beach in Barbados with a Pina Colada in my hand. 🍹

❌ STOP apologising for being 'just' a happy hacker. DRUMROLL PLEASE - this is my fave thing to say to someone: 'It is better to be a happy hacker than a sad show jumper'.
🤗 The happiest horses I see are those that hack a lot. Without a doubt.
⏰ Most happy hackers actually spend MORE time in their saddle than any other discipline!

And, regardless of what you do - both your and your horse need to be comfortable and happy!
So, if you ever think you don't need a Saddle Fitter, or a nice saddle because 'all' you do is hack, give yourself a slap or a wedgy and remember that you're still important and so is your horse! 😘😘😘
