With the current heat spell please remember that your furry family cannot remove their coats. Ensure water is changed regularly as cool water is better than sun warmed. Keep them in the shade and cover hutches with wet towels which will keep those cool. Keep a small fine spray bottle and use cool water to spray on bunny and guinea pigs to cool. Never spray in their face and do not soak them.

Keep them safe in the heat 🐹🐰🐇

Most of our summer guest have left. We decided to join 2 runs together to give our longer stay guests more room to hop and binky about. I think they both like it. First bunny 😁🐇

It did look like it was brightening up when our guest are in the outside runs. Dark clouds are looming but all inside runs cleaned and fresh cool water in bottles and bowls. Hopefully the rain stays off a while longer and piggies are happily munching 🐹🐰

What another busy day keeping guests cool. They had water and shade and it was me that got burnt 😁. Guinea pigs had cucumber to keep them hydrated and all got a cool mist spray to keep them cool too. I do have cool pads but they avoid them sigh. Remember we can remove layers of clothes but small furries cannot. 🐹🐰🐇

Why I want Thumper and Squeak

I previously worked in a large pet care / retail shop where I obtained my pet care and animal nutrition training however due to family obligations I retrained away from pet care. My family has now grown up and I miss being in the squeaky furry little animal world and decided as my family will frown if I become Mrs. Dolittle to look after other people pets whilst they have fun in the sun.
