Allen & Page Horse Feeds

Allen & Page Horse Feeds Allen & Page are passionate about producing top-quality horse feeds that nourish and support your horse’s health and performance.

Using Non-GM ingredients, Allen & Page feeds are crafted with care to meet the unique needs of every horse. Allen & Page was first established as a limited company in 1936 and now has four generations of experience in producing quality horse feed, helping to build the business into the major national feed producer it is today. Although, the Page family had been producing and selling horse feeds fo

r many years before that. Originally based at the mill at Quayside, Norwich, we quickly became renowned across East Anglia for the high quality feed we produced. Our ability to be innovative and continually improve has always been something that we value here at Allen & Page, as a part of that process we made the decision to move the business to its current state of the art mill in Shipdham, Norfolk. The new mill has provided us with the technology to produce our feeds, with precision feed blending and in an environmentally friendly way. More than two decades ago we gained the accreditation of major food production and quality control bodies, including the Vegetarian Society, Soil Association (Organic) and ISO organisations. This set a standard for us to continue working closely to ensuring the highest quality feed is always produced. In 2009, Allen & Page was delighted to receive a Royal Warrant from HRH The Prince of Wales. Looking to the future, we are always investigating new ways to improve and innovate; drawing on the experience and knowledge gained from almost a century of making horse feed.

Mystery Monday - Revealed!

Did you get it right?

The answer is C — an ingredient in your horse's feed!

Meet ‘Maerl’ — and if you haven't heard of it, you're about to be impressed.

Maerl is a natural marine algae included in our Muscle & Focus feed as part of its comprehensive gut support package that:

• Supports a healthy stomach pH for up to 8 hours after feeding,
• Has a unique honeycomb structure that provides highly bioavailable calcium and magnesium,
• Supports digestive comfort in horses in work, travelling horses and those prone to stomach sensitivity.

When it comes to focus and performance, what's happening in the gut matters just as much as what's happening in the muscles.

How many of you got it right? Let us know in the comments below.

Who’s at the Suffolk Show today?

The Suffolk Show is now underway, and there is so much going on across the rings.

From showing classes to working hunters, private driving, and everything in between, it is a real mix of horses, ponies, and riders, all at different stages of their journey.

Whether you are in the ring, getting ready, or watching from the sidelines, no two combinations are the same.
And that is what makes our sport so interesting.

Good luck to all our supported riders, and to everyone competing on Allen & Page feeds today.

If you feed Allen & Page, we would love to hear how feeding fits into your show day.

What does it look like behind the scenes? How do you keep everything on track, from preparation to performance?
Comment below or send us a message and share your experience.

When you find something that works for more than one horse, it really shows.

Keeley’s two are a great example. Here’s their story.

“I have been using Muscle & Focus for some time now, and the difference in my two horses has been amazing. They both look fabulous and have a calm, relaxed attitude to work.

They are both typical ex-racehorses and would generally require feeding throughout the year, but this used to lead to them being too excitable at times. It was important to me to be able to feed for weight maintenance and muscle development, as well as gut health, but not add anything that may create fizz or too much excitement, so they keep a level head for the dressage phases.

They both work hard and compete on a very regular basis, and Muscle & Focus has been great for maintaining weight and ensuring they have all the vitamins and minerals they need, but without the sugar and starch that can make them too excitable.

I often struggle with getting one of the horses to drink whilst out eventing, and he has always been a picky eater, but a nice bowl of soaked Muscle & Focus after he has finished has been a real game changer for us, providing hydration as well as nutrients to aid recovery.”

Keeley Tongue - Tanglewood Farm Stables, Leicestershire. With thanks to

So… which horse had the best topline?

If you said 'right', you’re spot on.

Topline is not just about how well a horse is covered. It is about muscle development across the neck, back and hindquarters.

The horse on the left may look well, but lacks the muscle definition needed for a strong topline.

The horse on the right shows a more developed topline, built through correct work and the right nutrition.

That is where feeding plays a key role.

Muscle & Focus is designed to support muscle development, providing quality protein and essential nutrients to help your horse build condition the right way when combined with correct exercise and training, as nutrition alone cannot develop muscle. Not just more weight… but the right kind of condition.

It’s not always the one you think…

Take a closer look at both horses and trust your first instinct.
