Gorgeous Rebel

Following on from yesterday’s lovely client testimonial - we thought we’d give you a sneak peak into one of Rebel’s last sessions! From reacting to every dog he sees, to being able to weave around three calmly in a lovely heel - this is the real deal!

We still have a way to go, Rebel is by no means at the end of his journey but the progress is clear to see. Not only are we building his confidence but also his owners, which is just as important

I remember my phone call with Emma as if it was yesterday. She told me point blank, if there was a dog around she wouldn’t be able to hold Rebel. He is a big boy and his reactivity was making walks impossible. Now his owners can walk him with confidence and ease and we are continuing to work with them to build everyone’s confidence and further improve Rebel’s reaction to dogs out on walks

It’s why group walks are one of our favourite things we offer and why we both spend a lot of time planning and putting them on

Okay, we know, we’ve been here for a while! We’re 5 years into Holistic Hounds and we have no intention of going anywhere but we thought it was about time for a refresh!

We’ve been spending the last few months focussing on our brand image, company values and what makes Holistic Hounds special. Our ethos remains the same and our team are committed to helping people and their dogs to reach their goals no matter how big or how small

How gorgeous is little 14 week old Nala the Rottweiler puppy?!

Charlotte got to meet sweet Nala just a few days ago for her first house session to help her owners get started with training basics and help with some puppy troubleshooting. We are BIG believers on starting training as soon as you get your puppy, even if the training you are doing is super basic. Getting those foundations in whilst your puppy is super young and malleable makes training later on down the line so much easier and means your foundations will be much stronger

Gorgeous Barley on a recent session!

Barley has been working with Charlotte to build his confidence around other dogs as he can show some reactivity, particularly in close proximity. So in his last session, she brought Lottie along and we worked on Barley learning to walk with another dog around and getting used to socialising in a more positive way and he did so well

Seeing the dogs we work with making good progress towards their goals and gaining confidence is one of the most rewarding parts of our jobs and Barley and his owners are doing so well and it's so lovely to see!
