I know I've been posting recently about animal testing ..more so on Beagles and the horrendous ⁹ experiments linked to products & chemicals including cosmetics, household items, pharmaceuticals & ingredients used in things like toothpaste & make up.
Beagles are used because gentle, trusting nature. They are often force fed or injected with experimental pharmaceuticals, westerlies & household products to measure the toxicity & side effects on their organs.
They are forced to inhale toxic substances or have chemicals applied to their shaved skin to to test for irrancy.
They are implanted with medical items such as pacemakers to test their function.
Healthy Beagles are surgically manipulated to induce symptoms of human illnesses like heart disease.
Following experiments practically all the Beagles are euthanized so vivisectors can dissect & study the exact damage to their tissues & organs.
They are used to test drugs, medical devices & pesticides such as w**d killer, insect repellent & plant spray. This kind of testing tries to determine weather the substance, ingredient or device will affect human health.
Beagles used for testing are fed quantities of the test substance - such as w**d killer on a daily basis for months. These substances can be given to the dog in their food, as pills or force feeding with a tube down their throat.
These methods shud not be happening now a day's.
There are so many other alternative testing :
Artificial human tissue models.
Computer stimulants & micro dosing.
4 year ago Beasley & i went campaigning to Harrogate...campaigning to get signatures to close MBR Acres down...unfortunately money i guess plays a big part in all of this.
We walked the town getting signatures along with hundreds of others protectors to send to Parliament.
Hopefully one day it will get closed down...but in the meantime I'd just like you to have a look at the list of companies products that do & do not tested on Beagles.
Superdrugs own range have the bouncing bunny on & non of their products are tested on animals.
If just one person makes that change...then it really can make a difference.
Sorry for the long unpleasant post...but I honestly dont think we realise the cruelty these poor Beagles/animals go through for some of our products 🥺.
