Shepton Vets Smallholders Club Shepton Smallholders Club is here to help you keep your animals happy and healthy. Our Smallholders Club is open to all Somerset (& beyond) Smallholders.

Do you have a few chickens, a small flock of sheep, pigs, goats or maybe even a few alpacas? Whatever animals you have on your small holding, Shepton Smallholders Club is a good way to learn more about keeping your animals happy and healthy. Our Smallholders Club is open to all Somerset (& beyond) smallholders who are keen to learn more about their animals. It will be exclusively for people with a

small number of animals across the range of farm species. We can offer support, advice and technical information relevant to smallholders. We have a team of experienced vets, many of whom are smallholders themselves, who are happy to help you with any questions you may have. Members of Shepton Smallholders have access to health planning advice, vaccination programmes, worm egg counts, medicines in reasonable volumes, telephone advice and discounted meetings.

You may remember Diesel the Cria. Who was born a little early. As a result he had wobbly tendons which meant it was hard for him to stand up. Because of this he then didn’t get enough colostrum. We had to put little Diesel in some bandages and give him a plasma transfusion. But we wanted to let you know that he’s now doing great!! Here he is with his Mum enjoying life with a spring in his step!!!
