We have had this little man come back to us, 10 mth old sprocket spaniel, through no fault of his own. Typical of his age, adolescence kicked in and his owners needed a little help to rane him back in. Mainly his recall.
In my personal opinion, they were let down by the trainer they went to, I will give more detail on this to the potential new owner.
This has led to them not knowing what to do next for him, combined with change of circumstances with work ( Oakley went to work with one of his owners. )They feel a new home that can give him everything he needs, is the best decision.
As in most cases, recall was there in a young Oakley, which needs keeping on top of.
We have taken him back to basics, on a long line training lead. Recalling at different intervals, as expected, he excelled in this.
He is looking for a home that will continue with his training and provide mental stimulation.
He is a beautiful young boy, full of love, play and affection. He is good with other dogs, just a little boisterous to start. He is fully vaccinated, worm and flea treated to date. I will change the microchip details to the new owner.
Oakley is already showing that he will thrive with the correct training. People that know spaniels, know their intelligence.
Please only contact, if you are genuinely interested. We will initially be discussing Oakley with potential new owners via telephone, Please feel free to drop us a message to arrange this.
