Calling all puppy owners.
In the 6 week school holidays we are opening up our safe 1 acre field to puppies and their families for a fun play date session, a chance to play off lead and make new friends.

The cost of the sessions will be just £5 and approximately 30mins depending on the age of your pup.

We will run older puppy sessions if enough interested but your dog must have no aggression towards others…. Please book a 1:1 if you need help with your reactive dog.
Please note, other than socialisation training no other training is offered on these sessions, if you would like structured puppy classes please book into our 6 week courses.

If you’re interested in this please let us know and so we can arrange the day/ time that is most convenient to you.

Still now people don’t realise we are open 7 days a week from 8:30am with the best sun trap on north road - voted Yorkshire’s no1 dog friendly coffee house (so we believe😜)

And to top it off we are licensed so if coffees not your thing have a beer or glass of fizz

Serving breakfast, brunch and Lunch all day ❤️

Reality of running an Animal Sanctuary 🐑

We often get told we are living peoples dream and whilst yes, we are incredibly lucky to be given the opportunity to rescue and care for these beautiful beings it’s no walk in the park..

This month we have spent £8310 on running the sanctuary 🤯

£2200 - Fly control for animals, mainly the cows who are harassed in this weather
£1800 - Two new introduction enclosures as we have taken on animals that aren’t currently getting along
£960 - Aprils Vet Bill
£1500 - Rent
£600 - Other Bills
£1250 - Feeds/Fruit/Vegetables

Our monthly subscriptions currently stand at over £2000 on Patreon and £300 in animal adoptions, which is INCREDIBLE by the way! Thank you so much to guys ❤️

After this however and a small amount of donations it’s left to me to dip into my wage/savings to keep it going - over £5000 in this case. This month may be an extreme example but often without the figures many aren’t aware of the reality of running Millingtons Magical Barn

We are now taking bookings for our next 6 week puppy training course.
Venue : Skelmanthorpe HD8 9BA

The course will start w/b 16th May.

Classes available are;
Tuesday evenings 6pm under 6 months.
Wednesday evenings 6pm over 6 months
Friday morning 9.30.
Saturday morning 9.30 under 6 months
Saturday morning 10.45 over 6 months.

The cost of the 6 weeks course is £60 .

We cover :

Getting your dog to listen to you.
Impulse control
Sit/ stay / leave/ down.
Mat training.
Lead walking
Recall training.
Socialisation

We train in a force free way and don’t believe in training your dog through fear or punishment.

Classes are held outside in our safe 1 acre field and off lead play at the end of every training session is encouraged to help with socialisation.

If your dog may have anxiety or unsure of other dogs then please book a 1:1 session to asses if your dog is suitable for group classes.

To book your place please message us with your full name, dogs name, dogs age and breed and the class you would like and we will send out further details.

I’ve made the sad decision to wind up The Canine Kitchen. It simply isn’t viable financially to continue on a small scale, and I really don’t want to start mass production! Thank you to everyone who has supported me. I’ve loved meeting you all and your lovely dogs. ❤️🐾❤️🐾❤️🐾
