Two swifts that were in my care until I went into hospital, have now fledged thanks to Glenn at Warsop Wildlife Rescue Team
They will now be enroute to Africa. Fly well and safe little Woody and Binny. Farewell little ones

Sorry everyone. I'm trying to answer messages but I'm unable to help at present. Having a nightmare time of it with first losing my dad, then my health problems and now a close family member is very very poorly and she takes priority.
Please either wait for me to get to your message if for advice, or contact another rescue if you need urgent help with a bird.

I hope to be back helping our little feathered friends soon. Ones already here are being well cared for.

Please continue to help us by donating towards dry food, live food, housing, medications, and rescue running costs.

There's still 24 birds here needing constant care.

Fledgling wren just arrived by taxi. Lady called Sarah paid Β£35 bless her to get it to me because her cat had brought it in. Fingers crossed, early treatment will save it. Its in the incubator just to help it through the shock.
It's had pain relief and antibiotics.
Puncture wound at it's neck but otherwise OK. 🀞🀞🀞

Does anyone have some paving slabs lying around that they don't want? We're in need of about 35 for a storage shed base. πŸ™

So I really need to learn the word no 🀣. 3 birds intakes in 24hrs.πŸ™„
A grounded baby swallow, a grounded baby house Martin and a juvenile starling that was seen being attacked by a rat! 😰
All 3 are doing well.

If anyone would like to contribute to their care and the care of the existing 20+ birds still here it would be much appreciated.
I will get the twiggys amazon wish list updated again soon too.

Live food order goes in again tomorrow. Dry food order is Friday.

I'm sorry if I've upset or offended people about pigeons. I actually love pigeons, especially ferals. I've adored having the babies who just love Cuddles and get so excited when they see you. It's been a hard few days and I didn't put any of that lightly. It just seems my body has an aversion to them. That's all. Nothing more than that. X

This has taken a lot of mine and Janice's time recently but Janice of Beeches Woody rescue is now permanently closed. I have her young birds to continue their care. I have Beeches equipment and medications so I can continue Jan's hardwork.

πŸ¦πŸ’› Important Announcement πŸ’›πŸ¦

Due to personal circumstances, we have made the difficult decision to close The Beeches Woody Rescue. This has not been an easy choice, but we are comforted knowing that the work we started will continue.

We are very pleased to share that
The Beeches Woody Rescue has now joined with Twiggy’s Bird Rescue. All of our equipment and resources have been moved over, so nothing will be lost – and the birds will continue to receive the care and support they need.

We would love to ask all of you, our wonderful supporters, to continue backing this fantastic cause by supporting Twiggy’s Bird Rescue. Your kindness and generosity have meant so much to us, and we are truly grateful for everything you’ve done.

From the bottom of our hearts – thank you for being part of The Beeches Woody Rescue’s journey. πŸ’›πŸ¦πŸ¦β€β¬›πŸͺΏπŸ•ŠοΈπŸ¦‰πŸ¦ŠπŸ¦†πŸ£πŸ¦’

I take in any garden bird, such as Robins, blackbirds, sparrows, finches, bluetits etc and I specialise in Swifts, Swallows and house Martin care.

Please do not ask me to take any pigeons. I sadly cannot rehabilitate those due to my health.

Piccy of Betty Blackbird for cuteness.
