I started Hairy Hounds in 2008 after many years in the pub trade. Having decided on a career change, I was lucky enough to be trained by one of the top groomers in the country, who I also worked alongside for four years, whilst I established hairy Hounds. It was from my time working with Alison Rogers LCGI that I got the bug for competing. I did my first competition only 9 months after my training

and won!! Over the years I have been placed in the top 3 in my class at every competition I have entered and I have also won the British Dog Grooming Championships newcomer of the year, Eurogrooms Career start and People’s choice award to name a few. I am a big advocate for education and am always striving to push myself further, I am currently studying for my International Certificate for Master Groomers, a qualification only recently available in the UK. I also hold my City and Guilds advanced certificate in Dog Grooming. Dog Grooming is an unlicensed, unregulated industry, which means anybody can call themselves a groomer if they own a pair of clippers. I am one of many groomers who are pushing for the industry to become licenced, to make sure your pets get the best and safest possible experience. Our Dogs are part of the family. You wouldn’t send your children to a nursery without doing all the relevant checks, how many have asked a potential groomer about the qualifications they hold or the experience they have?? It’s been a busy week for us, at hairy hounds!!

But as one door closes, another one opens!! ❤️

We are now ready to welcome all our wonderful furry clients to our new salon! 🐾

Please read the following points so we can hopefully have a seamless transition ✂️

❤️ please respect my neighbours at all times!
🐾 Do not block their drives, even for a minute
❤️ when possible, park on my drive
🐾 please be on time, don’t come early as we have limited space
❤️ do not be late, we may not be able to groom your dog if you are more than 10 minutes late, as this will impact our next appointment
🐾 All missed appointments, either by no showing or being more than 10 minutes late will be charged the full appointment price.
❤️ please make sure your dog is toileted before their appointment, do not let your dog wee or poo anywhere in my garden
🐾 your dog must be on a lead when you enter my garden
❤️ as we are now working on a 1-1 basis you must be available to collect your dog as soon as they are ready. Failure to collect in a reasonable time may result in us cancelling all future appointments

⭐️⭐️⭐️ we have 1-2 grooming tables available to rent ✂️✂️✂️

✂️ The tables are available Monday to Saturday

✂️ We are looking for 1 or 2 self employed groomers to join our team in S17, sheffield

✂️ You ideally should able to groom to a high standard and be able to complete at least 3-4 full grooms a day.

✂️ You will have use of electric table, supajet stand dryer, blaster, hydro bath as well as normal steel bath. Shampoos etc are all provided if needed. You will need your own scissors, clippers, blades, brushes etc

✂️ We are incredibly busy and have temporarily closed our books.

✂️ You will manage your own diary.

✂️ we are open to existing groomers who are looking for a new work place or new groomers just starting out who are building their clientele base.

✂️ Day rate available or % split

Evidence of the standard of your work must be provided.
