Pet Company began in 1995, when we opened a small pet shop in Millhouses, Sheffield and we're still at the same premises to date.

We're a friendly and independent, family run business, stocking a large variety of quality pet foods and pet accessories. We opened our lovely little pet shop right here on Abbeydale Road, Millhouses, Sheffield, way back in May 1995! Now Pet Company is one of the largest independent pet shops in Sheffield, offering customers the best of both worlds – We stock a huge variety of quality pet foods an

d accessories, whilst providing a friendly and personal service.

We sell a variety of high quality food brands for your dogs, cats, small animals, wild birds and chickens. We carry pet products such as treats, toys, supplements, leads/collars, beds, bowls, cleaning supplies, grooming supplies, cat litter and more. In the unlikely event we don’t have a certain product in store, we will be happy to order it in for you and will let you know when the item arrives in stock, usually within just a few days. Nicola and her team are highly knowledgeable on all products in store and enjoy talking with each customer about their pets and if required can make suggestions on what diet and foods will work best for your particular pet.

Do you recognise Henry, our RSPCA Sheffield Shelter collection box? He's had quite the spruce up and starting his new adventures with me at Paddy Russell Pet Supplies on Callywhite Lane at Dronfield! Henry and I would love to see you at Paddy Russell! We have lots of natural treats and RAW food too!

A little update on how things are going for our Per Company crew! Thank you everyone for asking. Kate and Bill have retired and Jackie starts a new job at Totley shops on Monday!

I'm also starting an exciting new job on Monday! I'll be working at a new independent pet shop at Hunter Park, Callywhite Lane, Dronfield S18 2XR called Paddy Russell Pet Supplies (next to Dronfield Dog Social Day Care and Dog Groomers)

There's a huge car parking area right outside with plenty of space! We have lots of Natural Treats, Raw Food, wet and dry food, toys and pet accessories.

It would be wonderful to see you and your dogs again at Paddy Russell. I'll be there all opening week from Mon 4th Aug and then I'll be working mainly Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays!

Dear valued customers and friends,

It’s with a heavy heart that I write this, as I need to let you know that Pet Company will be closing down on Saturday 28th June 2025.

This has been such a hard decision, but after much consideration and evaluation, I have made the very sad decision to cease trading when our lease reaches a break point later this year.

I can’t begin to describe how much we love working at Pet Company, it’s been our life for 30 years. We’ve tried so hard to keep going, but all good things must come to an end and ultimately I can’t absorb financial losses indefinitely.

Throughout our 30 years, we’ve been incredibly fortunate to have served such a wonderful community and are thankful for our regular customers support and loyalty.

I’d also like to express my deepest gratitude to our wonderful team, Jackie, Kate and Bill. Their passion and enthusiasm has been the backbone of what we do and has made our pet shop feel like a true family.

As this chapter comes to a close, I’ll honour any existing food brand loyalty cards where possible until 10th May 2025, for bags purchased at the regular price.

If you regularly purchase or order food from us, please talk to us as we should still be able to obtain these for you in the coming weeks.

If you leave your contact details, I can ring to let you know when our last incoming delivery will be and check if you need anything ordering.

Thank you for your custom and your friendship over the years. We will miss you all, including your wonderful pets – and especially all the sweet dogs who pull a determined beeline to our pet shop for their treats!

We hope we will still see you around and that you can continue to support us until the end of our journey.
