🎬 Behind the scenes

Staff lesson yesterday with this special pair 🤍

Mischa the mum is coming back into work after some well-earned rest, slowly rebuilding her fitness with correct, progressive work — starting with walk work, light schooling, lots of stretching, and steady improvements in strength and topline 💪 The focus at this stage is always balance, straightness, and keeping everything low pressure so she can enjoy getting fit again without strain.

Sebastian, on the other hand, is just starting his ridden journey 🐴✨ Everything for him is about the basics: building confidence, understanding the aids, learning rhythm and balance in walk and trot, and keeping sessions short, positive, and consistent so he develops good habits from day one.

It’s always fascinating working a fit, experienced horse alongside a young one — two completely different journeys, both equally rewarding 🤍

Mischa is 16.2hh… and Seb is fully grown now 👀 so what height do you think he is?

🐴✨ Why do we quarantine new ponies? It’s all about keeping every horse in our care safe, healthy, and happy.

When a new pony arrives at the stables, they spend time in quarantine so we can carefully monitor for any signs of illness, stress, injury, or contagious conditions before they join the main yard. We keep a close eye on temperature, appetite, behaviour, hydration, and overall wellbeing — because even the smallest changes can tell us a lot.

At the stables, it’s our responsibility to provide top-quality care, a calm environment, proper hygiene, and constant observation to make sure each horse settles in safely. It’s also about supporting owners with reassurance, communication, and trust that their horse is receiving the very best care possible. 🤝🐎

Quarantine isn’t punishment — it’s protection, prevention, and patience.

✨ Blazer’s Mane Makeover ✂️🐴

In this demo, Kit shows a gentle and modern way to tidy up a mane using a razor — no pulling needed 🙌

Traditional mane pulling can be uncomfortable for horses, but this method is a much kinder alternative. By using a razor, the mane is thinned and shaped naturally without causing any pain or stress to the pony 💛

Blazer was calm, relaxed, and happy throughout — just how it should be.

If you’re looking for a more horse-friendly grooming approach, this is definitely one to try!

✨ Little changes, big difference ✨

Recently we were really excited to welcome back Hope and her Horse Chester to Inspire Me Equestrian.

As many of you know Billie and Hope are part of the IME family having attending and worked at the stables for many years. And we love to see them return.

The lesson was to introduce a simple but powerful training aid—Franklin balls placed just under the knee—to help improve leg position and stability in the saddle.

By encouraging a softer, more relaxed thigh and reducing that “pinching” feeling at the knee, they help the rider find a longer, more secure leg without forcing it. The result? Better balance, a quieter seat, and a happier horse 🐴

This session was all about awareness—feeling where tension sits and learning how to let it go. Such a great example of how small tweaks can create real progress 👏
