Today we sadly said goodbye and rest well to Matty Barton. He worked here at Centre Barks first as an apprentice and later as a kennel hand and who sadly passed away on the 10th December 2025.

He was a valued team member and an amazing young man. He dedicated his life to the animals in his care and attained a distinction in his animal care course. He left us to take up his dream job in animal enforcement in Stockton and we missed him but knew he was the right caring compassionate gent for the job!
He will be greatly missed by all who worked with him. Donations are being taken at Check Mate the men’s mental health charity in his name and our staff past and present are holding a sponsored walk in his memory. Donations are via the link.
