Bring Your Geek is back on in full tonight after several months of working to expand the shop. This means more than a couple of consoles will be playable, the return of the LEGO and from 9pm we will be playing the board game Sub Terra with expansions under UV lights.

Every Saturday from 1pm to 4pm at Itemdrop, there are Model Painting Workshops available.

Participants are provided with miniatures, paints, brushes, and tools at no cost, although feel free to bring your own if you want.

Everyone is welcome, be it Warhammer, D&D, Wasteland Warfare, general models, terrain, etc.

This includes novices, experts, those who simply want to give it a try, or those who wish to practice new paint combinations or techniques without the fear of wasting resources or committing to a hobby that may not suit them.

Tyranids squared off against Admech on Saturday, in a very exciting match that attracted quite a few spectators.

We played Frank West 's The Isle of Cats at Bring Your Geek tonight.
Great game by a local creator, and the family version was quick to explain to those who hadn't played it before.
We'll have a go at the full version next Friday evening.

Bring your Geek is on every Friday in our shop in Seaton from 5.30pm till late and open to anyone who wants to pop in to play or watch.

Tonight is a Halloween(ish) special . On top of the usual gaming related activities (board games, video games, tabletop games and trading card games) there will be low-lying fog, the smell of Resident Evil in the air, Halloween music, inflatable knives and a cauldron of sweets.

Although fully setup and ongoing around 5:30pm you are free to turn up before while we prepare (maybe even give a hand) from 5pm.

Consoles on tonight: PS5, PS4 and PSVR

Cards Against Humanity has the Nerd Bundle added this week for the adult audience who turn up.

Tonight is a special event.
It has been 2 years since our events side of Itemdrop started in the shape of Bring Your Geek so tonight is Party Night.
On top of the usual gaming related activities (board games, video games, tabletop games) there will be balloons, freebie promo items, free pokemon cards and even cake (it is not a lie) for people to enjoy or take home. Although officially ongoing at 6pm you are free to turn up before while we prepare (maybe even give a hand) from 5pm.

On the PS5, new release Hot Wheels Unleashed will be playable.

A PS4 and GameCube will also be available.

Sofas, snacks and music accompany the activities.

Have you ever wanted to try playing Dungeons & Dragons?

This coming Monday, and the first Monday of every month, we are running our drop in D&D session where you can learn about D&D and play a one-shot game without the need to commit to a long term campaign, or just watch others play if you prefer.

We start at 7pm at Itemdrop, and you don't need to bring anything.

We had a wonderful, lively session last night, with pokemon trading cards, painting, mega drive games, snacks and a cuphead marathon.

Always lovely to see new faces, as well as familiar ones.

Our drop in Bring Your Geek session runs every Friday Itemdrop from about 5.30pm until 9pm, there is no age limit (though we ask that younger children are accompanied by an adult).
You can bring your own games/hobbies to share with others, or you can choose from our collection of board/card/Video games, or miniatures & paints for painting.

We are also open to focusing sessions on a specific topic and have a number of knowledgeable people we can invite along to answer questions and teach things 😁

One project finished during this week's BYG Friday session, and one game we played (Call to Adventure Stormlight).
We also played Awkward and Settlers of Catan this week, as well as having the usual miniature painting table going.
Last Friday it was all about the Exploding, Imploding and Barking Kittens 🙀

On Monday the 7th of June at 7pm we are starting our monthly drop-in D&D sessions at Itemdrop.
These will be short 1 session adventures on the first Monday of every month, ideal to have a go at playing D&D if you've always wanted to try it, are just looking to play every once in a while or even just want to watch a game.

You don't need to bring anything other than yourself (a notebook, pencil and dice can help, though we have plenty of these).
Pre-booking is not essential, though it helps with planning if you drop us a quick note if you're thinking of coming.
