We have had an increased number of customers attending whose dogs have a flea infestation. We appreciate that sometimes these things aren’t noticed, however it does have a big impact on our appointment.
If a dog attends with fleas, it means extra bathing, attempts to remove as many fleas as possible and kill them, extra disinfecting of our salon and equipment and then the use of a flea bomb to ensure any remaining fleas in the salon are dead. This has both time and financial repercussions for us.
We have made the decision that we will need to charge £10 extra for any dog that attends with fleas. This will be one charge per human customer, rather than per dog. This will cover the things outlined above.
We will contact customers as soon as fleas are identified to make them aware of this and so you know about the charge.
Please remember that any appointments cancelled within 24 hours of the slot will incur a charge, so always best to give your dog a once over in the days leading up to their appointment to make sure they don’t have any pesky passengers! 🐜
