Senior dogs need grooming just as often if not more than younger dogs. It’s important when dogs get older to take good care of their coat and skin. Extra attention is needed to ensure their eyes, ears and hygiene areas are super clean too. Grooming of older dogs should be gentle and calm making sure they feel comfortable throughout.

This little fluff ball is Maddie ❤️ who visits the Cozy Cabin regularly for her full grooms. She had been on a wet and windy walk with her owner prior to her groom, so she was in need of a lovely bath and pamper ❤️🫧🛁✂️🐾

Dog grooming is not always about having the “best in show “ groom. Dogs need to have a level of grooming to keep their coat, skin, ears and paws in a healthy condition. A lot of dogs do not enjoy the grooming process and as a groomer we must do our best to ensure their experience is as stress free as possible whilst carrying out our work.
Lottie here has always been extremely nervous of being groomed and we have worked so hard together over the last year to get her relaxed and happy during her time with me. As you can see she is a very happy girl these days arriving, she jumps up on the table to get started and even likes a pose at the end! ❤️

🐾 Keeping Your Pup Safe on Bonfire Night!✨

1. Create a Safe Space: Set up a cozy, quiet area indoors for your dog to relax away from the noise.
2. Keep Them Secure: Make sure your pup is safely indoors to avoid any escape attempts or fright.
3. Distract with Love: Use treats, toys, or calming music to keep their mind off the fireworks.
