🦠❗️CONFIRMED PARVOVIRUS CASE❗️🦠
This week we have had several vomiting and diarrhoea cases with some testing positive for Parvovirus.

❗️Common symptoms❗️
🦠Vomiting
🦠Bloody/ Foul smelling Diarrhoea
🦠lethargic/ extreme weakness
🦠loss of appetite
🦠dry gums
🦠abdominal pain

❗️Important to know❗️
⚠️Parvovirus is highly contagious
⚠️Treatment usually requires hospitalisation
⚠️Contact us urgent as parvovirus can be fatal

❗️What to expect❗️
🩺Contact us for an appointment
🩺Our receptionist may ask you to wait in your car before we do a parvovirus test
🩺Case dependent- our vet may recommend further investigation such as bloodwork or hospitalisation
🩺Severe vomiting and diarrhoea cases are not an overnight fix, we may ask for check ups
🩺The vet may prescribe a range of medications or a prescription diet to help your dog
