A cracking effort from the team this week. Smashing out the renovations in two days, 18 greens, double scarification, double cut, Sustain organic fertiliser application, 15 ton of sand dressing, Sarral roll, Matt in and a drink to settle it all down. All while golf continued. An application of Revolution and seaweed tomorrow to finish off.
Definitely a few beers earned. We can't wait to see the results and benefits of this vital process.

Following on from the success of the wildflower areas on the 6th hole last year and our continued commitment to operation pollinator we are really pleased to be increasing the areas this year to the entire length of the hole, this will create around 4100m2, 1 acre of wildflower meadow.
These areas will be planted with a carefully selected mix of wildflowers that will hopefully blossom into a show of colour and pollinators to enhance the area while providing an abundance of forage and food for bees, butterflies and insects. It will also love to catch your stray balls so be careful and aim for the well instead.
A big thanks to and for his help with the seed selections and supply. We can't wait to watch it develop again this year.

CAN YOU HELP.
Here at the head we want to test the power of social media and find the owner of this lost ball.
Do you know this Golfer. Not sure of his name but may also be known as the 'Best Dad'
His ball was found hiding in some bushes on the 11th we believe, the wind, rain, noise or some other outside factor caused it to go there not the shot. We would love for the ball to be reunited with him.
Feel free to share and help us find the BEST DAD.
(this is the opinion shared on the ball and not our own. Obviously our dad's are also the best dad)!

Amazing work from the team this week. The course is looking great after a week of bringing some shapes back onto the surfaces. A few green edges re-shaped last week are coming on nicely, the rest of the course wearing there stripes proudly even in today's overcast and moody sky's.

Cheers to 10 years service here at Seaford Head Nathan Sutliff
Nath has spent the last 10 years working hard to learn, train, and help shape and improve the golf course. His love for red pandas saw him helping Drusillas with bamboo, he has mastered the Ringo on the seas and past level 2, level 3, pa1,2 and 6 and attended lots of seminars along the way. Thanks for all your. hard work over the years.

This week represents 25 years since our now Course Manager started working at Seaford Head as an apprentice Greenkeeper....

This week represents 25 years since our now Course Manager started working at Seaford Head as an apprentice Greenkeeper. After finishing A Levels he began as a trainee and has since worked his way up through the ranks. He left as deputy Head for a Six month work experience as Head at a local parkland course before returning as Head Greenkeeper in 2016. A life sentence that has mostly been positive and currently after working though the toughest spring and summer he can remember is glad to have the support of the best team yet to be caretakers of this wonderful and natural course on the South downs.
