Rspca Scunthorpe (Lincs North and Humber)

Rspca Scunthorpe (Lincs North and Humber) The Lincs North and Humber branch of the RSPCA is a separate charity to the national RSPCA. We run by RSPCA guidelines, but raise our own funds.

Our branch members and volunteers work hard, caring for our animals, and raising funds to enable us to carry out vital animal welfare work in our area. We take in and rehome animals, as well as offering a variety of animal welfare assistance. Amongst many things, we run subsidised cat neutering schemes and provide veterinary assistance to people in receipt of benefits and offer a reduced cost microchipping service.

Unfortunately two of our cats who have recently been adopted can’t stay with their Mum who loves them very much, as she’s badly allergic. So they are looking for new homes, along with another youngish cat who is very bonded to one of them.

Luna (grey tabby) is soon to be spayed. She is very playful and active like most young kittens.

Albus, 7mths old, neutered, black with a white belly patch, is also playful.

Tonks, 7mths old, spayed, black and white is a little more reserved and quite wary of new people.

Albus and Luna are inseparable and would be brilliant staying together.
Tonks is Albus' sister, but being quite reserved, would probably like a home without them.

Drop us a private message or phone us on 07785 596618 if you’re interested in adopting Tonks, or Albus and Luna.

Beautiful Sophie is waiting for her new home after putting her everything into raising her kittens over the last few months.

She’s been such a good mum, despite only being very young. She’s just a gorgeous little girl who is inquisitive, playful, and friendly. She likes a fuss and loves to roll and wriggle around. She’s looking for quite a quiet home as her start in life was a little chaotic.

If you think you could be the perfect match for Sophie then drop us a message on here and we can have a chat.

We’re heading into baby bird season, it’s really important that you know the difference between a nestling who does need help and a fledgling who is ok and just doing what fledglings do 🐦‍⬛ 🐦

So, you've found a baby bird 🐦

This could become more regular during spring and summer, but did you know, they often don't need our help?

The fact is, birds take far better care of their babies than humans could.

Advice differs slightly depending on their age, but here's a short guide to help you out. For more info, head to: https://bit.ly/4sEX0Kb

A man from Scunthorpe has been sentenced to 20 months in prison and a 15-year animal ban after causing suffering to over 350 animals👨‍⚖️

An investigation found abundant mobile evidence of the organised cockfighting, which has been banned for over 180 years, including torturous specialist paraphernalia

From 361 birds to pregnant dogs, cats, and rabbits - hundreds of animals were left to suffer in unsuitable conditions. Thanks to the support of Humberside Police, the animals were seized from the property, and all of the animals brought into our care were rehomed.

We have a lovely group of baby Guinea Pigs in who are looking to be rehomed in pairs. Meet Caramac, Twix, Milky Way, Flake, Boost, and Twirl.

They are all males, and have some great personalities and lots of character. They’ve learned that humans mean that food is coming and eagerly squeak and chatter every time they hear someone go past. Their favourite thing is munching through their veg, and they’re growing fast!

They’ve been kept indoors with us, and will need to go to indoor homes or somewhere that is adequately heated.

They’re very quick, and will appreciate some time spent with them to get them used to being handled more often. They will happily take food from your hands so it won’t take long to win them over.

Drop us a message on here or contact us on 07785 596618 if you’re interested in adopting a pair of these beautiful piggies.
