The forecast for next week makes me so happy! ππ
However, for our furry friends, it's not going to be so nice π It's forecast highs of 24 degrees next week, and our dogs WILL struggle!
I'll always remember a post I saw a couple of years ago about people walking their dogs in the heat, and there was one particular person who commented to say "stop being so dramatic, dogs live in Africa and cope perfectly well"........ π€¦πΌββοΈπ€¦πΌββοΈπ€¦πΌββοΈ
Did you know, dogs can take up to 6 weeks to climatise to warm weather and sadly, this time of year when we have cold weather one day, and hot the next, is the most common time for dogs to suffer with heatstroke, as owners often forget or, not realise, how detrimental the inconsistency of the temperature be can be! β οΈ
Our dogs haven't had the chance to climatise and adjust to the warmer weather. Even if it just feels like a nice, warm day to us, it is very likely that our dogs will not cope, so please bare this in mind when taking your dogs outdoors and don't be that idiot! π
