Hey everyone, how are we all doing? 🐾 It’s been a while since we posted on here, sorry about that! These days we’re just normal people working the 9–5 life LOL but don’t worry, we still have all of our cats! 😅💕

We’re popping on today because our lovely friend Kate, who rescues cats (we got Rocky and Niffler from her), really needs your help!! It’s been an awful year for rescues and it feels never ending. She currently has cats and kittens of all ages, from 16 weeks, 6 months, right up to 10 years and even 15 years old, all looking for loving forever homes! Some of the kittens are rescues from Dubai. 🏡💖

Kate is happy to travel across the UK if it means finding the right families, she just wants these little darlings safe and loved.

On a personal note, we actually couldn’t resist and welcomed one of the Dubai kittens ourselves about 6 months ago, we called him Figaro (he’s the beautiful baby in the photo below!) He’s been an absolute dream, settled in so beautifully and helped us through our loss of Tigger and Aramis! 🤍

Remember us putting an appeal out in April time to see if we could find anyone with a Bobby shaped hole in their heart and home, well she is still searching for her forever home.

Bobby is by far Cat and Kitten Rescue Middlesbrough’s longest resident in foster. She came in on the 3rd of November after living for a few months on her own as her owner was hospitalised. She was signed over.

Bobby is 8 years old.

Initially Bobby was terrified. Everything was too much for her but they have since worked out her triggers which lead to her being swipy so the following needs have to be taken into consideration.

Bobby needs an ADULT home with no visiting children initially, certainly no young children under the age of 12 will be considered.

No other pets (unless it swims haha!)

A perfect home would be with a single adult, she is a little flirt when she gets going so she does prefer men to women, but it just takes a bit more time if your female.

Patience, she's so much better if you just basically ignore her initially till she finds her feet, she then will start to come to you when she realises that her needs are being met. Ignore the bad behaviour and move away if she is hissy or tries a swipe, praise good behaviour with cheesy dreamies.

This phase can take months... she likes chilling on her own, listening to the radio or the TV, just quiet and relaxed, she does like it if you chat away to her.

Bobby is a strictly indoor cat, she has never known the outdoors.

What can Bobby do for you?

She can provide the most wonderful sense of pride when she comes round, the first time she has a stroke or a purr, that's a serious high.

She is loyal, once she's accepted that she now owns you as her own personal servant, she won't let you down.

She is currently the only cat in the entire rescue that has her own bedroom, she needs more than that now she needs to spread her wings and have a proper wander around....

So if you are interested please please message us so we can pass your details on to the rescue who will tell you all of Bobby's history. As with any rehome it needs to be the right one for her so support will be offered right the way through the process and beyond.

Simba still has a little limp but last night he went on his wheel for the first time in days which is a super good sign and shows that his poorly leg must be feeling much better! 🩵 Well done sausage x

So mummy cat Chloe is on sofa bed duty tonight to keep this beautiful boy company as he’s struggling to do the stairs up to our bedroom 😭 Lots of extra cuddles and treats, but the good news is he already seems to be walking better! ❤️‍🩹

Poor Aramis had to take one for the team and sacrifice his birthday post being put up on time (yesterday) as mummy and daddy were busy looking after Simba who has managed to hurt his paw!!! 😢 So let’s all wish our gorgeous blue-eyed boy a happy 7th birthday and Simba a speedy recovery!!! ❤️‍🩹🩵 Lots of treats for both boys today!

**A forever home is desperately needed for a beautiful girl who has had a hard life!**

It’s National Pet Day today which allows us to reflect on how much our furry friends mean to us and how much love they bring to our lives… but sadly not every companion animal has the best start to life or a family/home to call their own.

This is Bobby, she is 7 years old and has had a very difficult past. Because of her past Bobby needs a special forever home and a special person who will be patient and able to meet her needs.

Bobby needs to be an inside cat and in a home with no other pets or young children (12+ is fine). Bobby needs her person to be patient and allow her time to get used to her new home. She will swipe and growl but that is because she is absolutely terrified, not because she doesn’t like you, she is just not used to receiving affection. Bobby needs someone who understands cats and can read the signs that she is becoming overwhelmed and overstimulated.

Bobby will need to get used to her new person so local applicants only please (she is currently in Loftus) so you can visit her a few times and she can get to know you to reduce her anxieties when she makes the move to your/her home.

Bobby has the rest of her life ahead of her and would love a place to call her home. Next year could you be celebrating National Pet Day with this beautiful girl?
