πŸ“£ We’re so excited to announce our next session of new fortnightly after school club for teenagers with SEND on the Isle of Wight at The Wildheart Animal Sanctuary!

This fortnight we are doing a stamper scavenger hunt!

This is part of the Short Breaks programme: https://eu1.hubs.ly/H08YpNs0
Short Breaks aims to increase activity opportunities for children and young people with disabilities. It provides a break for parents/carers while their child takes part in a safe, fun, and enjoyable activity. It is free to join!
Starting on the 9th April 4:30-5:30pm! Join us to learn about conservation, animal care & welfare as well as to socialise with others and get out in nature! This provision is aimed at those 12-18 years and costs just Β£5 per session! πŸ€©πŸŒŸπŸ―πŸ’πŸπŸ–πŸ’πŸ¦πŸ¦Ž

Earlier this year we changed our name to The Wildheart Animal Sanctuary to better reflect the work we do here on the Isle of Wight supporting rescued animals and in championing wildlife conservation.

We will shortly be closing this page but if you would like to continue following us and our animals on our journey then please like our new page The Wildheart Trust because we would love to keep in touch. Thank you for your continued support, hopefully see you on the other side.

Today is World Endangered Species Day and lemurs are THE most endangered group of mammals on earth. An incredible 98% of their species are listed on the IUCN Red List threatened with extinction.

Lemurs are only found in Madagascar, where an astonishing variety of species are found, but sadly all are in decline.😰

If we all work together we believe that lemurs can be saved from extinction. πŸ˜ƒ

We currently have five species of lemur at The Wildheart Animal Sanctuary and we are proud of our role and dedication to their preservation.

We will continue to fight for their survival. πŸ’ͺ🏻

A little late off the β€˜no mow mark’ here but please sit back, relax and lock up your mowers for the month of May to help Plantlife: saving wild plants campaign to restore nectar for wildlife.

In the last 100 years 97% of our nations meadowland has been destroyed. If left to grow a little wild, our garden spaces can plug some of this loss and feed a huge number of our critical invertebrates.

So...here’s the green light to grow grow grow instead of mow mow mow
