Updated Hot Weather Policy 🌡️
At Walk & Wag Cheshire, your pet’s welfare and safety are always our top priority. We take every precaution to ensure dogs in our care are kept safe, comfortable, and healthy — especially during hot weather.

🔆 Hot Weather Guideline:
If the temperature reaches above 23°C, scheduled dog walks may be replaced with home visits.
Home visits will include toilet breaks, fresh water, shade, indoor or outdoor play, and plenty of fuss and companionship.
This decision will be made to prevent the risks of heatstroke, burned paw pads, and dehydration, which can occur quickly in warm conditions.

‼️ Why This Matters:
Dogs cannot regulate their body temperature as effectively as humans. Certain breeds, older dogs, puppies, and those with health conditions are even more vulnerable in the heat. For this reason, we will always adapt services to suit the conditions — even if this means changing from an outdoor walk to indoor or shaded care.

We will monitor temperatures daily and make adjustments as necessary.
Any changes to your scheduled service will be communicated in advance wherever possible.
Decisions will always be made with the dog’s safety at heart, not convenience.

We are officially out of the office until Sunday 10th August whilst on a campervan holiday to the lovely Cotswolds and Cornwall. Please be aware that our responses will be understandably slower during this time. Happy summer holidays everyone!

"Jennie has been helping out with our range of pets for some time now, including our hens! Jennie is so lovely to work with and the cats, hens and Alfie the dog all feel at ease with her. We have a very timid cat and at a recent house sit our timid Millie quickly trusted Jennie and came in for regular cuddles.
The updates are thorough and photos are great and Jennie is always mindful of the balance of updates and letting us get on with our break away. We feel so comfortable and relaxed knowing that Jennie is taking care of the pets and the house and recommend her highly."

One of our regulars Tagdh introduced us to his new companion Inuki the Lurcher at one of our most recent pet sits. What a lovely pair they were together, though very different in age and energy levels, they make a great duo and compliment each other well.
