A Pawfect Time - Dog Walking & Pet Visits

A Pawfect Time - Dog Walking & Pet Visits Reliable and caring dog walking and pet visits. Fully insured, DBS checked and Canine First Aid. I'm always happy to answer and in a timely manner.

Hi, I'm Zeta and from a small child until now, I've always had a passion for animals, nature and the great outdoors. In fact, I cannot remember a time where animals haven't been a part of my life. Because of that, it's what makes my job so enjoyable and rewarding. Being outdoors in the fresh air, seeing happy dogs, hearing happy clients and getting to watch some dog's journey of progress with you.

.. you cannot put a price on that. Every dog is different and they all have different needs and characters which makes catering to these differences very important to me. Each and every dog should be comfortable when out walking, whether they like playing with others, just having a good sniff or feeling at ease if they're a little nervous. I strive to keep walks fun so not only do I walk dogs, I also spend time interacting with them, so if you happen to come across what might look like a mad lady running around with dogs, making silly sounds and having "funsies", don't worry, it's likely just me goofing around with my "Pawfect" gang. I offer a range of services that include group and solo dog walking and also short pet visits/drop ins. All these can be found under Services on my page so feel free to have a look at them and their pricing. You can also view Recommendations by others that have/use my services. Lastly, please feel free to drop me a message if you have any questions, be it big or small.

My gorgeous crew! If I've missed anyone out, I do apologise as things have been pretty full on lately.

I should also say these photos were taken before this current heatwave. Everyone knows I don't do walkies in this heat. Instead, I switch to home visits and garden toilet breaks only, with a little dousing of water under their tummy and general areas where there is less fur.

While the main concern of walking dogs in hot temperatures is heatstroke, it's not simply just about that alone. I know some of my dogs likely won't have an episode, but that doesn't mean to say they wouldn't feel uncomfortable on their walk. And that right there is enough for me. I will always prioritise their comfort over my pay. Always.

It's worth noting though, that some dogs don't have access to a garden but still need to go to toilet while their owners are at work. So if you see me hanging around a patch of grass in this heat, do be careful with assumptions (I've never had this but I do know it's happening). Because what people may not know is that I carried that little dog to a nearby patch of grass to do their business and then carried them back home.

On another note, I can honestly say that switching to solo dogs/multi dog household walking has been amazing and continues to be so. The bonds that we've built and are still building are incredible. 8 years in and I love my job.

Lastly, I hope everyone is keeping as cool as they can and hydrating enough. A big thank you to all my clients that are fine with me using their bathroom because, oh my days, all this liquid drinking! 😅 Here's to tomorrow being cooler. The pups and I both need it 🫠 🐾

Cute pups overdose! They really are such a great bunch. I think it's safe to say we're all quite happy that it hasn't been raining as much. I mean, today was quite a day weather wise ☀️

Things have been quite busy lately and we're now full steam ahead into our small pet visits as well, so just a heads up, if you're needing any pet visits, please check availability ASAP.

Oh my days, today is the start of having a few consecutive days of nice weather! I cannot tell you how happy I am about that and neither can some of the dogs 😅 (I'll not name names!) And to top it all off, today was the first day I got to walk Bernie. He did absolutely amazing and I can quite confidently say we both thoroughly enjoyed our first walk together! So here, allow me to introduce Bernie the young Cocker. I think this chap is going to be fun 🐾

Happy New Year all! As promised, a doggy post with amazing pups ❤️

The best part about my first day back after the Christmas holidays was seeing some of the pups and how excited and loving they were. Could definitely feel the love! Unfortunately, that's as good as it got. I knew it was going to be icy, but I hate letting people and dogs down and so I told myself "Just take it really slow Zeta, you'll be fine". And so I did take it slow and carefully, but unfortunately when it comes to black ice careful just doesn't cut it sometimes and my front tyre just went and I came flying off my bike in the middle of the road. I consider myself a confident but sensible rider too. The difficult part is that although a few roads are gritted in Saltash, there are a lot I have to go down that aren't and they're very shaded so stay icy for a big portion of the day. Even just walking around some of those areas I had to be careful as I slipped several times. Unfortunately I did have to cancel a few walks. Which leads me to say that as much as I hate doing it and as much as I think I can just get on and do stuff, sometimes I have to admit defeat and say I can't do some walks on days where there is a weather watch for ice 😔 I'm not keen on repeating today's shenanigans and really don't want to risk writing myself off work for a while.

Thank you so much to those I had to let down today and tomorrow for understanding and generally being caring about it all. It means a lot ❤️

I also wanted to take a moment to say a general thank you for an amazing 2025 (apart from having to let some lovely dogs and clients go! 😔). A thank you for supporting my decision and change over from group dog walking to solo dog walking. A thank you for all the amazing Christmas gifts and cards and the kindness that some of you extend to me even outside of the holiday period. I truly am grateful for it all. To be able for 8 years now to earn a living and do what I love... really, thank you.

So heres to hoping 2026 is good to us all and I look forward to many many walkies with your pups. (Preferably when it's not icy! 😉)
