We are happy to say that we WILL continue to accept XL bully dogs
We have a new policy to allow us to accommodate this
XL Bully Breeds
If your dog has been “typed” and now requires an Exemption Certificate, the following applies:
We will still be accepting select XL Bully dogs, due to our setup and our policies of not mixing dogs we can safely do so. However, the process of boarding with us will be slightly different.
Firstly, an initial Meet and Greet with the dogs and the owners will be required, as per government requirements the dog will need to be muzzled for this. At this stage we will make an initial assessment of the dog and its owner, looking out for behaviour issues, or anything that may cause concern.
Secondly, if we are satisfied with the meet and greet, we will invite the dog for a trial night, this will be to get an assessment of how the dog behaves in a kennel environment, the dog will be monitored both by the kennel staff during working hours and the kennel cameras out of hours so we can make the best assessment. This will be charged at the normal daily rate
Our insurance will now go up so sadly we will have to introduce an insurance surcharge of £4 per day which will make the daily rate for an XL bully £32 per day
Once we have successfully completed the trial night, we will then allow the dog to board with us for longer periods of time, no more that 12 months should pass between bookings, if 12 months have passed, we would need to start the process again.
If we are not satisfied with any of the above steps, we reserve the right to refuse boarding.
The Kennel prices will be the standard £28.00 Per day per dog plus an Insurance Surcharge of £4.00 Per Day
Your dogs will need to be muzzled when arriving and leaving the kennels, we will take the muzzle off for the dogs stay and pop it back on when they leave.
We will require the dogs Exemption certificate and public liability insurance documents prior to boarding, if this is not available, the dog will be turned away.
