This is 11-year-old Lushie. She was sadly struggling with serious mobility issues and other age-related debilities, including being deaf. Despite putting up a brave fight, Lushie’s problems progressively worsened. She became really poorly, and her loving parents, Jane and Martin, made the heartbreaking decision to say goodbye. Sanjay helped her peacefully take her final breaths at home with them both by her side.

Jane kindly sent us these few words along with this lovely photo of their precious Lushie:

“We wanted to write and thank you for your compassionate kindness and professionalism in helping us to say goodbye to our dog Lushie yesterday. Your support from Meena’s first phone call to Sanjay’s visit here helped to make bearable the desperately sad business of saying goodbye to a much beloved pet. Lushie - who actually greeted Sanjay with a gently wagging tail - was calm in her home environment and our other dog was able to witness her peaceful end. Both of these things were incredibly important to us. Sanjay clearly explained every step and handled the situation calmly and empathetically. We sincerely believe we were very fortunate to find someone who could grant a beautiful death after a beautiful life. Thank you both. “
