It is heartbreaking to tell you that Benji the wonder dog passed away yesterday.
He had been ill over the weekend and was found to have heart failure, his loving family made a very difficult and selfless decision, he went to sleep peacefully yesterday afternoon.
Benji was one of my 'originals', one of the first dogs I walked and I'm devastated to lose such a close friend.
I'm not sure that there is a single dog in our pack that hasn't been out with him on a walk. He was a super star and loved by all.
Looking through photos of him over the years has brought so many smiles to my face. He was cheeky, vocal, greedy and always up for fun. If we ever stumbled on people having a picnic while we were out on a walk... he was like a Tasmanian Devil... plates were flying, kids were screaming. There was certainly never a dull moment with Benji Boo. I will never forget this wonderful boy.
Walks will be a lot quieter without him.
He was Benton's best friend so they will be running full pelt around a heavenly field, happy to be together again.
