Where we came from and where we’re at.

The Dog Walks β€˜R’ Us team is comprised chiefly of husband and wife, Mark and Jeab, with some assistance in the background from capable family members.

Like a lot of dog walkers, our business was born out of a shared love of animals but from the start we felt strongly that simply having a passion for dogs was not enough for us to deal with the challenges of handling mixed-breed groups in a variety of environments. Jeab already had extensive experience from working as coordinator of a large dog shelter but we both wanted to understand canine behaviour as best we could, so we set about studying the works of key behaviourists such as Victoria Stilwell, Kyra Sundance, Bruce Fogle and Pat Miller. We then took everything we’d learnt and set about using it as the foundation of our assessment process. We’re confident that this knowledge allows us to match dogs for group walks in a way that minimises the possibility of conflict. Few dog walking businesses put such emphasis on safety in the way that we do and we feel that this is what truly sets us apart from the rest of the pack (pun intended).
