Hello everybody.
We have spent a lot of time thinking about this, but we have decided that we won’t be having any more litters.
We are aware that some of you were mentioning when the next litter would be and we felt it best to make the decision now. We are sorry of this comes as a disappointment to some of you but it is the right thing for us.
It has been coming for a while to be honest, neither of us are getting any younger – Paul especially creaks like a door in a horror film when he gets up these days. It is such a ‘full-on’ experience having a litter with so much worry, responsibility and pressure 24/7 and beyond, whilst having the rest of the pack too. Ella has ongoing health issues as some of you know, (although she is doing well at the moment) and both of us with full time jobs. Losing our beloved Minnie so young was a devastating blow for us as a family and pack and we are still feeling her loss. The reality was that something had to give and this was the most sensible choice.
We have loved every single one of our little ones, all of them. (Even Hettie!) Honestly. Saying goodbye, even though it was for the best reason, just got harder and harder. We hope you know that they were all given the very best start we could give them and have been so honoured to have been able to watch them grow and become such integral parts of all your families. We loved meeting every one of you and watching the joy each one of them brought when you met. Such a privilege. We have had experiences that some people will never have, and we will cherish those memories – including, hourly hand feeds all day and night for a couple of the little ones and being peed on by each and every one of the little monsters!. Thinking about holding each of them at less than an hour old and watching Mum meet them for the first time still makes us cry and always will.
We are so proud of all our girls, Mabel, Minnie, Martha and Molly and the healthy, happy and independent little ones they brought into the world.
We won’t close this page down, because despite this decision, we would still like to be a small part of all of their continued journeys through life, with all the ups and downs, as it brings us great happiness. You are all part of the Claytonmoor family and we hope this can continue to be the case for many years.
With love and best wishes.
Allison, Ella, Duke, Dave, Mabel, Frank, Molly, Martha, Betty, Hettie and bottom of the pack, Paul.
